When I first heard SoD or Serj himself I thought his music was weird and aggressive but when I got used to it I realized he's the biggest pacifist and equalist I've known. He uses his music to reveal the ignorance and terror of war, greed, injustice and spread the word for peace in the world. I really enjoy his music and support his will for peace.
Sunny Price that's because he is originally Lebanese and lived here to a certain age. when you live in a country where war is daily news, you get affected by that. you kind of can't live your life without thinking of the injustice around you, peace and equality become an integral part of your hopes.

I was never a huge fan of SOAD but I deeply believe Serj Tankian is one of the biggest artists that exist in metal. His voice lyrics, tonalities and everything he does is excellently executed and has a meaning behind

just got 30 a few days ago. system of a down was one of the first bands i played songs of, when they were even in the charts. such a great time. i regularly tune my guitar down to drop C to play some holy mountains, or other awesome soad songs. serj himself also has songs that will always stick with me, until i die as an old man.
Serj Tankian stood for rebellion and the underdog having a voice in SOAD now he gives us this masterpeice. I loved soad songs, so deep and thoughtful and relevant and complete rock smash peices! Serj made a great smash here, i love this song, but it has such beautiful qualities. Keep rocking Serj, keep enlightening people. I hope you find peace.
*No. His first System of a Down album was the best and that’s because it was deliberately made like that. They deliberately played the “we’re falling apart” act as they progressed (Lady Gaga’s done the same shit since Joanne - the downfall started during ARTPOP). It’s this absurd theatrical act that’s intended to make the audience believe that people lose their soul and spark and genius and creativity and original thought as time progresses. They DELIBERATELY do it as opposed to actually deteriorating. Now, I’ll let you know about two people who didn’t give in to that absurd act: Madonna and Cher.*

Serj has such a compassionate outlook upon life today, and how it is ran. If only us as a whole, all of us, the entire human race embraced compassion, love, peace, and understanding. We would be so much better off......
Gotta look at that from a different angle. Think it like this, if every single person had lots of gold in their hands, would gold still be valuable? Just like that, if every single person on earth was "good", the "evil" would look better as it's harder to see. Us humans have natural characteristics that lead us to feel the need of "harder to find", or let me say "cooler" stuff. Let me put it this way, the reason why you're naming an act "good" is that there is an opposite "evil" way of it existing. So, "good" cannot exist without "evil". I'm not sure If I was able to explain what I'm thinking, but can't blame for trying, eh? =)
Onur Tüyloğlu It all depends on your outlook though. One man can value gold, but to another it's worthless. The same goes with "good" and "evil". There isn't one specific thing everyone can look at and say "That's good!" or look at something else and say "That's evil!" Someone could do something "evil", and to the society it would be deemed "evil". But there are plenty of people who view those things much differently. (e.i. terrorists) All about perspective my friend.
Mexican Armadillo Can't deny the fact that "good" and "evil" are about the way people see stuff. I agree with you on that. Though, I was talking about general thoughts and view. What I was trying to say was, just like you need to know death to appreciate life, you need to know what's "wrong", to understand and go for the "right" way. But of course as you said, it's all about the way you look at these stuff. I myself, prefer to see "bad" stuff as a necessary thing so at least I can understand why we are trying so hard to be "good". =)

The reason why System and scars are so successful is because you can't skip through their music and say " ehh I don't like this song" All their songs are great, one better than the other.

I am 11 and I listened to chop suey when I was 10 and then a listened to all of the songs from the album toxicity and then moved on to mesmerize then I listen to all of their songs and the funny part is that before I heard Serj’s voice I loved pop music you know Taylor swift and maroon 5 but then I got into System of a Down then I moved on to elect the dead then I listened to more artists like Korn, LimpBisket, perfect circle, and even NIN or Nine Inch Nails and lots of more songs and then I got into heavy metal 🤘 and not only that but I also got Tougher taking no crap from anybody and standing up for myself and know that all I want to do is thank Serj for that keep rocking on dude and thank you 🤘System of a Down🤘
In my opinion this is supposed to talk about how civilization is deliberately destroying the environment and ultimately ourselves. Initially, we took little swats at the atmosphere, hurting it a little but not too bad. Then we took the brush and rubbed the sky with it, all over. Like the industrial revolution, and our blatant unconcern for our environment.

I do know that in his home recording studio he has a $60 set of headphones when the same brand makes a better set for $300. He got the cheaper set because it was all he needed.
