Service dog mistakes. My service dog is in training & she started to make some mistakes while grocery shopping. We used a lot of “cookie reinforcement” to get that little nose off the floor. This video is actually of 2 days, Kohls & Hobby Lobby on one day, Walmart for grocery shopping another. Owner training a service dog is rewarding but can be a challenge when they are having an off day. Sniffing isn't that big of a deal BUT it is still clear that we have some work to do.
The purpose of me sharing this video with mistakes in it is to show other newer handlers that all dogs do make mistakes. They are not robots. I rarely see videos of Real service dogs making mistakes, only fake spotting & that is just toxic.

Pharaby is now 16 months old and most of the time she does AMAZING! However, that was not the case at Walmart this week, lol. Training is a constant event for us so of course I expect her to act up on occasion & honestly if this is the worst thing she does i'm happy :) Please show your support by liking this video & subscribe to my channel. My girl was totally having an off today at the science museum, she kept switching up her commands and turning around when I told her to guide me, so I did something probably a bit unorthodox( now as a disclaimer, my girls learning to be off leash indoors for short stints as it really helps with her tasks plus Im a sunday school teacher who back when the world was normal would leave her random locations to attend to a childs needs) and dropped her leash and gave her the same commands...and she did them, she just had to realize that I wasnt gonna put up with her lazy shenanigans and she had to concentrate and think things thru. She got reengaged and perfomed beautifully. I think she honestly just got bored as this is a place we come nearly weekly to practice as its quite empty these days

Boredom will definitely distract them 🙈 Having a Science Museum to train at sounds wonderful! At some point when Pharaby is more reliable I think it sounds like a great idea to work on some off leash training just in case she ever needed it. But clearly she is not reliable enough for that yet.

I am sorry if you answered this in a previous video. I might have missed it. Why does she wear shoes? (I hope this is an appropriate question if not I am sorry for my ignorance.)

Hi! Great question! She wears shoes because it’s very hot outside here right now, about 90°f so our pavement in parking lot is probably around 140°f & it’s just easier to leave her shoes on in stores than to take them off when we go in. Now I also like for her to wear them to protect her feet from debris on the ground inside. The last time we were at Walmart there was actually a broken jelly jar they were cleaning up. I never thought about broken glass on the ground until I saw that but after seeing that I will probably make her wear shoes year around.

Jen Farrer thank you. I never really thought about foot burns. It does not get that hot where I live.
