If you DIY all this stuff your out of pocket runs less than $1100. But $3300 to not have to worry about touching it is not too shabby. BTW nice collection, had an ACR! I loved and miss my Viper.

Agreed! on my 2011 Cali oil/filter cost me $155, I replaced the stock air filters with lifetime BMC Filters for $160 (never needs replacing), i paid $111 total for 8 spark plugs NCG-92264 (Ferrari just adds yellow packing), stock cabin filter $20, labor = me = FREE!

Not too bad. Affordable prices. Can't wait to buy a Ferrari one day. Bought a Corvette C7 Z51 at 27. Lost all my money and assets due to family issues last year. Starting over at the bottom sadly.

sounds very cheap... I have a Ferrari TR 512 , 1993, red... and my average yearly service and repair costs are roundabout 20 tsd euros ... and is he driving nicely after all this expenses every year ? ... noooo... but looks good while standing ... Bella Figura ...

Certainly the "labor" is the largest expense when having the needed maintenance done at a shop or dealership. But, a "really good" mechanic who may seem expensive with his labor costs at first, if worth his salt, makes up with the labor charge due to his expertise and ability to get the job done quickly not just correctly - the 1st time! No "do-overs". But when there is a "mark up" on parts over their "normal" price to make them "seem special" because they are expensive but are not actually special - well........

Wow! $3300 is so cheap. Ok I could do it myself, but I'd rather have an independent specialist do it for that price. I think it's because the Cali is not your typical Ferrari. It was made to be reliable, easier to service, and potentially a daily driver for those that can afford it. It's the only Ferrari in my wheelhouse (but I love all Ferrari's😂)

Funny I’m trying to decide whether to buy a viper or Ferrari. Apples and oranges I know but I can only fit one in the garage. Viper probably won’t depreciate or cost as much but might not have the fun factor. Thoughts? Thanks
@Chris_Graham
@Chris_Graham Год назад
I’ve owned both… viper was much more fun to drive. Vipers are super rare too! I see more ferraris than vipers. But even with a cheaper ferrari, ferraris get more clout and attention from “non car people”. Viper is very rare. Ferrari is more refined and elegant
@shanemcgonnell2689
@shanemcgonnell2689 Год назад
@@Chris_Graham interesting I thought the Ferrari would be more fun to drive. Maybe its the stick that makes the viper more fun and the respect you have to give it with minimal traction and stability control.
@Chris_Graham
@Chris_Graham Год назад
@@shanemcgonnell2689 mine was a 2015 with traction control and stability but still got sideways a bit. Viper was a drivers car and much faster than the ferrari. If you like to drive and smash gears… hands down the viper. If you want to be able to cruise and drive quick when you want and relax a little… take the ferrari.

Really maintenance cost should not be as much as they are just because it's a Ferrari,I mean I understand parts are more expensive but labour should be no more than a normal car as a brake system whether it's some exotic or not is not that different
@Chris_Graham
@Chris_Graham 2 года назад
I’m guessing there are a lot less certified Ferrari Mechanics than there are general mechanics, therefore their expertise is valued higher. And when it comes to selling your Ferrari, a new buyer would want prior work to have been done by a certified Ferrari mechanic instead of the local Jiffy Lube

There’s lots of repairs in your future: motor mounts, ceramic wheel bearings,sticky buttons, convertible top failure etc. Its even worse if you have a Hele car.
