Found your channel through a search for Shaper Origen - which I just ordered and is due last half of Jan '19... I'm completely new to CNCs of any kind, and am excited to add the Shaper Origen to my woodworking kit. A request - I like the descriptions of what you are doing and how you did it - can you do some video of actually doing some cuts with the Shaper Origen? Just to get a sense of how it's set up and used. Are you using Fusion 360? Anyway, thanks for putting stuff out there. PS, your shop is too clean! (kidding) But it encouraged me to get out and do some cleanup. I am not able to get into the shop as much as I'd like, and getting something finished is sometimes a rush and cleanup suffers (ti I get sick of it and do it).
Terribly sorry for the delay in responding. As you can imagine, this is a hobby so work can consume me. Yes, I will try to go some videos actually using the Origin. I have bounced around on CAD programs. I am currently using Affinity Designer. have you rec’d your Origin? If som how are you doing with it?
@@AftonWoodworks My work also gets in the way of my hobby... not much done with it yet. I DID decide to also order a full-blown CNC machine. As I sorted out the Shaper Origin, it seemed to me that, while it can do a LOT, it will not do what I need it to do - new CNC is about a week away from arrival (Laguna IQ Pro, 12" gantry, 2x4 bed).
