The tip to use some Blue Juice if the rotary valve is really stuck did the trick!

Thank you, I have used this guidance since having recently purchased my Shires TBQ30GA. My axial flow valve works great and I oil it every time I play.

Thank you Ben, you have saved me lots of time. I was also wondering if there was a way to remove or replace thumb trigger paddles, and if/where I can buy interchangeable replacement parts? Thank you!

I was told to try and not let the oil touch the sides as you drop it down the tubing slide so it doesn’t mix with the tuning grease.

I just bought a Shires TBQ30YR Thursday. Thanks for the valve maintenance tutorial. However, would it be possible to re-shoot this with close-up shots?

One interesting thing regarding the rotary valves the guys of Miraphone who have quite some years of experience with those recommend that you rather not oil them when you play regularly. (Of course if you don't then you will have to oil them) Only the valve bearings and linkages should be oiled according to them.

My Shires Q30YR makes an annoying loud banging sound after I release the valve. The mechanism works fine; it is kept lubricated according to your recommendations. How do I stop it from making that noise?
