My dad came from a broken home, despite that, he was dedicated to providing for me and being a Dad to me and husband to my mother. he wasn't the best husband and father ever, no, he was real. I never minded or got jealous or resentful, when my mates who came from single mother homes, would look to him as a parental figure. I understood. He had a lot of time and practical answers for a lot of people, if only they had held the same belief that they were worthy of that time, within them selves.... there weren't many. But the ones that were, well it goes without saying, they and I know. I never, Not once "OK boomer Ed" him, not once, I listened when he spoke on anything, even if our views differed, I always listened, and took in what he said. Always. He had so many amazing stories, jokes and annetdotes about life, and humans and the world, and the gauntlet of all the other stuff that runs in between. Even on his last week in hospital, he was still commanding the humble audience of medical student interns from his hospital bed, with his simple yet impeccable comedic timing, He was intelligent and real, right up until the end. He taught me so much, and for that I am grateful, He instilled a sense of honesty and clarity, and depth of character and consciousness in me that I will forever hold dear. . . He prepared me for the world in which I live, for which I will thrive in someday. I remember he once likened cancer to rust. Like the rust in a car. Lol. He was a old soul And forever a brave warrior. ☠️FUCK CANCER☠️
