John speaks very slowly now. I went to his church for six years and heard him speak in March. Sounds like him.

John had a cardiac event this past year that required surgery or a medical procedure. His speech has been slow and difficult ever since. He has explained the medications or a particular medication they have him taking is contributing to some of the changes you see. It is possibly a combination of "both" the cardiac event and medication making his mind, his speech, and his movements slower and seem a bit impaired.
