I've been a guitarist for 40 years and really been perfecting my pocket as best as I knew how to. This is really crazy good material, very musical sounding and I can't believe how your engineers made it happen - simply amazing! Kudos, #NativeInstruments, glad to see you going strong in keeping an edge in this highly competitive market of digital and AI driven software!
Oh man, it would be great if the Sunburst and Vintage guitars can be updated in Komplete 14 with this midi drag and drop feature! That would be so awesome!
We would totally love to see that happen, although the huge development effort it requires makes it impossible for us to commit to any feasibility and timing at the moment. Let's cross fingers we can achieve it sometime soon 🤞
This is absolutely amazing sounding! All the SESSION GUITARIST/BASSIST libraries are fantastic. I also really hope that the new features that have been added lately to the newest SESSION libraries are added to the older libraries, especially Sunburst Deluxe and Picked Acoustic. Please, NI! :)
Holy cow! I've had collector's edition for some time, and I'm glad I've stumbled across this video. I had no idea how versatile and creative this was. I'm gonna have to spend the time to learn all the instruments I have. Wow. I really did get my money's worth with Komplete. And then some. Very satisfied customer.
wow! midi drag and drop is a very cool feature! Do you think it will added even to the other session guitarist series? (I mean electric sunburst deluxe)
Probably not. Good feature to have though, but they don’t typically look back in that fashion. They just make new instruments and let the past ones hold their own.
Hey there, thanks for the feedback. We of course would love to have that feature available in older Session Guitarist products, but it represents quite a big development effort so we can't commit to any feasibility and timing at the moment 🙏
It's got major Doja Cat, Dua Lipa and Calvin Harris vibes. I mean listen to that first demo track (0:33 - 0:42), it sounds exactly like Doja Cat - Say So. I would love to get my hands on this one soon, especially since those sounds are so in style right now. I just got Sunburst and Acoustic though so I'll mess around with those in the mean time lul
After experimentation I discovered these things which might be helpful to others: 1) You can change the pattern or sound after it has been recorded; 2) You can punch in with no problem; 3) In my DAW (Studio One 6) there is a chord track but these patterns will not follow that; 4) If you limit your MIDI piano roll to a certain scale the pattern will not follow that either; 5) You don't have to hold an entire triad. Just hold the root to trigger a major chord and hold the root and the third to trigger a minor chord. Thanks for the great review!
Hey Tony, due to a huge development effort to make it happen, we cannot commit to any feasibility and timing at the moment to bring these to older Session Guitarist.
@@NativeInstruments That's okay, but it seems like it't not only me that's looking for such a feature, it would really set you apart from other library makers but alas the schedule.
my request to the makers.... plz along with these lovely session guitarist series.... plz make a feature so that we can built our new patterns with these elements...... so that these lovely guitarists can go to next level and help us producers...
Come on, Native Instruments! The comments section is full of people who already spent their money on older Session Guitarist instruments (me about 350 €!). We want that MIDI drag & drop too!
Now all we need is the Session Guitarist: "Electric Hollowbody" based off a Gibson ES-335 semi-hollowbody guitar, and then we would have the 4 most fab guitars of all time!
It is a great-sounding instrument. I can't find any videos, though, that explain how to create chord progressions in different scales, as there is no auto mode in this version.
I have a question. Can I record dry guitar externally, render it into midi, then import the midi file and use the sounds from electric mint. ??? I love the sounds from this software, and I play guitar. I would love to use these sounds on a real guitar track.
Absolutely phenomenal! Just waiting on a sale to get Komplete because it doesn’t make sense to start buying the libraries individually and at full price imo
I wish you guys would disclose whether or not this will be included in the next Komplete Bundle so I don’t buy it to find out that I could’ve got it for way cheaper.
I probably will be in the 14 ultimate bundle, I think the new bundle versions contain everything that was released since the last version. But don't take my word for it.
Darn you Native Instruments! At this juncture just create an auto debit feature for SG releases! lol. I had just gotten over the high of the last two guitar libraries, which are regularly in cycle.
Each of the session guitarist libraries since Electric Sunburst Deluxe comes with a dedicated melody instrument. Load the melody instrument and you can play melodies with finger or plectrum, in monophonic or polyphonic mode.
Just purchased this today and I have to say the melody instrument sounds great. I would like to see a move away from the pre recorded patterns entirely and have them instead sequenced within from machine sampled notes.
What a load of guitars recently! The Session Bass was much needed, Vintage was great and this one is too. By any chance are you thinking about 7 or 8 string guitar?
How do you programme patterns in the software itself? (In the Pattern Browser, it shows Rhythm Search with the pattern, but it seems to be unedit-able)
You could, but the generated note positions and chord changes might not perfectly match the rhythm structure of other patterns. This applies mainly to progressions and phrases. However, if you simply drag voicings (not phrases) from the right side of the GUI, that should work well with most patterns of the other libraries. Please make sure to change all patterns to "as played" or "OFF" so that they will play the incoming MIDI notes "as is" without their own voicing generator interfering. You might also adapt or delete the generated keyswitch, which is always the lowest note of the generated MIDI segment.
I have been using Electric Mint, Electric Sunburst and Picked Acoustic for a long time and all of a sudden I'm getting an error signal that my Kontakt version is too old. WHAT is going on did you guys do something to make people have to buy Kontakt 7?? 1) I cannot afford to upgrade and 2) My older mac pro only goes up to Mojave. What makes makes me angry is that it was working just FINE! Please, what can I do??
Will this VST still be using the confining non resizable beyond 2K Kontakt GUI interface? On a 4K monitor, Kontakt can't even resize to a half screen and it's worse within a DAW like Studio One. Sorry NI, too much emphasis on new product releases when the base code needs an overhaul (per the NI forums). Please correct if I'm wrong..running Kontakt version 6.7.1. Changing Font Size or Display resolution is not a solution.
@@NativeInstruments ETA if known please. Maintenance release hopefully and not paid upgrade? If known, will this be for Stand Alone and within a DAW? Thanks..that's good news, just hope it's sooner than later.
you guys got to update the komplete,it is a great pack but almost all the libraries are really old.. like the prime bassist instead of the rickenbacker and maybe add it to ultimate if its about the money, but the ultimate just adds scoring tools so its unappealing to general music producers like us. :/
