RIVERS CRISIS: Appeal Court Refuses to reverse the removal of Martin Amaewhule and 24 others.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has refused to reverse the removal of Martin Armawhule and 24 others as members of the Rivers State House of Assembly. In a ruling on Friday, the Appellate Court says giving a verdict reversing the decision of a Federal High Court which declared their seats vacant will amount to pre-judging the Appeal currently before it.
While delivering its ruling which was delivered virtually, the three-member panel led by Justice Jimi Olukayode-Bada, also fixed June 20 for the hearing of the appeal by Amarwule and others which is about reinstating them as members of the State House of Assembly. The Justices prayed all parties in the matter to maintain status quo and cease every form of hostilities until the matter is heard and decided.

It was very obvious that the defected law makers were not working for the interest of rivers people, rather they were working for the interest of their master, yet they want the Governor to use the rivers money and pay them salaries, that's not possible, i suggest they should meet their master to pay them, because from history rivers state government don't use to pay any person or group of persons who is not working for the interest and the wellbeing of rivers people.

The appeal court judges are humans, they are Nigerians. They have wives and children who understand the unfolding story of Rivers State. They watch television, listen to radio and read newspapers. Every tiny substance in the case will be thoroughly examined and in the end, justice will be served to the good people of Rivers state. Meanwhile, 99% of Nigerians know what is good as justice in the matter. The judges must not joke with justice!!

Only PDP can torpedo the case against Fubara's camp if they choose to deny the decamping of the lawmakers from Wike's camp. I don't know why PDP as a party likes working against its interests. Can they vote out the leadership of the party as currently constituted since it is now so obvious whose side they are in this case between Wike and Fubara.

The High Court did not say anything like that. The Court declined jurisdiction. It was the lawyer to the ex-lawmakers who came out to misinform the public. Browse for the Certified True Copy of the judgment.
