Our choir sang this in high school in the early seventies, and I loved it. Looking for it now I was confused by the song that came up on my search, which was “Sit Down Servant.” That’s an entirely different song. There’s a lot to be said about “Set Down Servant” that pertains to today, as we’re approaching the coming of Jesus. For those of us who believe, God’s promise of peace and everlasting life will be the time when we “can’t set down,” because we’ll be dancing for joy! Amen.
