I love how the background vocals in the last chorus feel slightly disjointed from the main song, creating a feeling of two different songs playing at the same time
This song is officially approved by hazel, my Budgie. She likes set it off more than any other band - I played this and I started hearing tiny peeps and clicks from the quartet of birds... after watching, I spotted her with her face in her wing trying to sleep but getting too excited and waking herself up singing quietly. Blessed.
First reaction: That is INTERESTING I am down for these lyrics and this beat! By the end: THIS ENTIRE ALBUM IS A GIFT MY JAW IS ON THE FLOOR I LOVE THIS BAND SO MUCH
[Verse 1] Fresh out the box, shiny and new Played it so much 'til it went out of tune I tightened the peg 'til the tension erupts Didn't think that I could give up The record I spun when I was young Spoke to my heart and fit just like a glove But now that it's played out, the needle is worn Didn't think that I could give up [Pre-Chorus] What changed, what changed? It's more than just our age Or how the music tastes and I'm askin' What changed, what changed? [Chorus] 'Cause now we're singing different songs Forgetting how to sing along together When every note comes out so wrong It keeps on getting harder to remember The melodies or what the lyrics mean 'Cause now we're singing different songs Forgetting how to sing along together [Verse 2] We once called it love, devolved into lust Jealousy speaks out to silence the trust We temper our words 'cause we're scared of the truth Humming tunes that we can't get through When I hear your voice, I hear someone else The stress on my heart's getting bad for my health So should we admit that we've both had enough? Didn't think that we could give up [Pre-Chorus] So what changed, what changed? It's more than just our age Or how the music tastes and I'm askin' What changed, what changed? [Chorus] 'Cause now we're singing different songs Forgetting how to sing along together When every note comes out so wrong It keeps on getting harder to remember The melodies or what the lyrics mean 'Cause now we're singing different songs Forgetting how to sing along together [Post-Chorus] Oh, oh-oh-oh, (Oh, oh-oh-oh) Oh, oh-oh-oh-oh, (Oh, oh-oh-oh-oh) Oh, oh-oh-oh, (Oh, oh-oh-oh) Can't sing along together [Bridge] Face to face, so far apart We're worlds away from what we were before Before, before we started singing... [Chorus] Different songs (Singing different songs) Forgetting how to sing along together When every note comes out so wrong It keeps on getting harder to remember The melodies or what the lyrics mean 'Cause now we're singing different songs Forgetting how to sing along together, no, no [Outro] Oh, oh-oh-oh, (Oh, oh-oh-oh) Oh, oh-oh-oh-oh, (Oh, oh-oh-oh-oh) Oh, oh-oh-oh, (Oh, oh-oh-oh) Can't sing along together
@@bhoover56 some people don’t look in the description and might go to the comments. This person actually helped some people, even me. I didn’t look at the description, I just went, imma try a new song and see if I like it, and while I listen imma be in the comments. And look what I found.
Sadly it won’t get radio play :/ right now for some reason people prefer listening to what I like to call “fuck you we can mumble into a microphone and make millions” music
Touc I haven’t heard mumble rap on the radio (although it could just be where I live), besides, it’s not like you can’t hook your phone up to most cars
Mitchred99 I pre ordered it on iTunes and it says I only have he first five songs and that I have to pay to get all of the rest so that’s dandy iTunes 👌👌
The Midnight Album is putting me in the mood to draw. Now whenever I don't feel like drawing but want to draw, I listen to Midnight Album to be motivated

My parakeet, Cockatiel, and other Cockatiel all approve of this band. My loudest bird is constantly bobbing his head to Set It Off songs and screaming and singing. My quietest bird is a rescue... when I play this band's songs he cheers himself up by walking back and forth doing pretty bird (For those that dont know what that means its basically they lift up both wings and one leg and their feathers on their head stick up- they are only happy when they do this). My middle bird, the youngest- We click our tongues at her when she starts to scream to calm her down. In one of the songs (I forget which) Maxx did something that sounded similar with the drums. She started replicating the sound over and over. Now whenever she hears Cody or the general beat and style of your songs, she clicks her tongue to the beat
All of the songs from this album that I've heard so far is kinda to do with bad relationships and my boyfriend broke up with me last month so it's really helping me (as set it off normally does.) The album's great as I predicted Gosh I love you guys
Im going to be completely honest, this song is getting me through a rough breakup. We grew apart so this is hitting even harder. Thank you for releasing this. #1 band
THIS. THIS descirbes how I feel towards music so much! Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of these "I don't listen to modern music cause I'm a speacial snowflake" kinda girls, but I love lyrics with meanings and old music, I still listent o pop though
Saw their midnight tour and met Maxx on accident coz I got sick in the bathroom and went to the bar for food. Also I think he put his hair in pigtail buns bc my hair was in a bun lmao love you Maxx you were so cool!!!
I literally googled different songs, expecting a playlist and music that is different and makes me feel something again. And I found this. This is even better. :)
Some of my new favorite music! I had this album in my watch later in 2019 when I had no furniture. I remember listening to this with my tv on the floor while having a beer. Absolutely solid music!
