My wife wants to eat fresh catch fish. It's been a while since I've set my net. So I packed my things and head for my spot. Unfortunately, a giant stingray was trapped on my net and I have to cut my lucky net to set her free. I was almost stung by her tail. Lucky I am wearing my gum boots. Cool stuff, but remember you can't set your net in a way that strands fish with the outgoing tide. Also illegal to have to two set nets with you, even if you aren't using the other one (can have a bait net though).

Yes thats right. Tararu. At the back of Tararu sailing club. The tail struck me on my lower leg, lucky I have boots. Hips of flounder and good size snapper. First time i caught a carrot on my net though.

@@pamfiloregis6414 i go out on my dingy out there or off moanataiari and get heaps ! keen on meeting up some time for a fish of the rocks ? or to set the net ? got heaps off experience along the coast and also call in on a Saturday and have a yarn at hunting and fishing.

O po those are dangerous, lol two types black 🖤 round very dangerous, they are smart to, or the diamond eagle Ray a little dum but can also do harm, best way is drag it out of the water and deal with it there, never try if in the water,
