ABOUT CHICAGO FIRE
From renowned Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf ("Law & Order" brand) and co-creator Derek Haas, the writer behind "3:10 to Yuma," comes Season 8 of "Chicago Fire." The family inside Firehouse 51 knows no other way than to lay it all on the line for each other. Capt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) leads the Truck Company and brash Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) runs the Rescue Squad. The firehouse also includes Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), a fireman's fireman. Paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) returns alongside seasoned veteran Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and Randy "Mouch" McHolland (Christian Stolte), as well as resourceful firefighter Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo). Completing the team are dependable squad member Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso), paramedic Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh) and the newest addition, candidate Blake Gallo (Alberto Rosende).

I went to the actual firehouse in Chicago that they filmed at. I didn’t know they don’t film there anymore. The firehouse in Chicago is actually real close to the one Chicago PD was filmed. Love this show

I always found the plot hole of Engine 51's lieutenant not having their own quarters a weird, yet interesting one considering that 51 is the primary apparatus assigned to the firehouse. (Granted 51 was such an afterthought in the first 6 seasons that it was shown to have half a dozen different officers in charge before Herrmann's never before seen predecessor is introduced in Season 7)

Like when they would send only the truck & the squad on a structure fire. ("Hey guys - don't ya think you should have a rig with something like, I don't know.....WATER in it?????")

They've recently explained this. When Firehouse 51 was originally built, it only had Engine and Truck so those officer quarters were for their respective lieutenants / captains. But then Squad was added to the House and Engine lost its quarters

Excellent tour of the Chicago Fire set! Thanks to this series people can understand what a sacrifice it is to be a Firefighter! In many parts of the world, firefighters are despised by the state and do not help them financially, they are 100% volunteers

Great tour and memories. The flashback to Shay's death killed me. But I hope we can move post Pandemic protocols soon because I miss the behind-the-scenes stuff with the cast/crew interacting with one another and the lack of them (other than the part with Jesse) made me sad.

Was awesome to see a bit of behind the scenes of this great show. Mom and I love the whole Chicago fire, med and pd series. Love how they all flow with one Another.

Pretty cool. They also did this for Emergency back in the 70’s. They built a replica of Station 127 in a sound stage at Universal Studios. Funny thing the sound stage set is actually smaller than the actual station. They would shoot exterior shots at Station 127 (in Carson) a few times a year. They did shoot in the stations bay a few times with the doors open. You can tell how much bigger it really is.

Of all the Chicago shows i love Chicago Fire 🔥 the most, i always look forward to seeing the new episodes and love the cast and crew, you're all amaizing! We love chicago series . We laugh we cry we miss at pause between seasons. We watch each episodes with almost red faces full tears and olso with big smiles thank for your big work. It's so cool to get a view into all the small things that make the show how it is. Think about it, the small details such as the tilting window, no art in Molly's, the convenience of wider halls etc, all add together.

Just finished binging the first 4 seasons, so it was timely to have this come up in my feed. (Is RU-vid spying on my Netflix habits?? Hmmm..) Anyhoo, great show, IMO. It's so interesting how each of the three "Chicago" shows has such a distinct feel to it. "Fire" has always been my fave. Such a great ensemble, even with all the turn-over. But I digress...
