As a Canon user that previously owned Pocket Wizards and Canon Speedlites (a few years ago), I greatly appreciate the amount of dedication you put into making this video.🙏 At the same time, I can only imagine how much money you spent on EACH Speedlite alone (full retail) AND each TT5 (full retail). 😥 Based on the current landscape of this industry, I think "YOU" are Pocket Wizard's LAST hope in the Full Frame DSLR market. I'm pretty sure the Medium & Large Format Photographers still rely on Pocket Wizards to some degree....but this company owes "YOU" a great deal of respect.🙏
Thanks for your kind comments, I did not pay full retail but kept my eyes open for good used only a few were picked up at retail. I have had these for some time though. yes I agree I may be their last hope....LOL Thanks again for watching....Mike
I have the same Pocket Wizard setup for Canon, and yes, they can be a bit temperamental. This is the best way to use them, I've found providing the most reliability... - Leave everything on auto, the pocket wizards, the flashes (TTL) - Use the AC3 to define the power levels for each zone - but still set auto & TTL - Once everything is powered on, as per the video instructions... take a calibration shot - note, the first shot won't fire the flashes, but it sets everything up - Even though I recommend using auto, it is possible to define some zones as manual, but I think this just over-complicates your setup - just use auto and the AC3 power levels - To globally change up or down ALL of the flashes, use the flash exposure compensation on the camera - note, this only affects zones that in the auto (A) setting Hope this helps
TCM-TTL flash value transform for into poweroutput value in M mode.
Hi , I have 3 TT5s. I have 2 SB900 flashes for my Nikon. Without flash when I press the testa button I get the confirmation on the other receivers but when i put the flash on it does not work. However when I first turn them on in sequence the flashes go off to confirm they are working, but NOT when i actually want to shoot. Very frustrating.
I'm having the same problem with one of my TT5's, when I turn it on, I see no lights blinking. Then all of a sudden after some tries it starts to blink, then it stops again....very frustrating.
You should sell all those dated flashes & overpriced triggers ATG/Godox/Profoto/Nissin/Yongnuo are a better buy Hate to say this but Pocket Wizard & Quantum Instruments are in trouble Soon, it will be Paul Buff, selling a $1,000.00 TTL flash that will not work on Hasselblad & Sony
There is no need to sell they do the job. I know because it's done the job for me for years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Another thing I just bought the TT5 PW for $39 used, and it works like new. Adoroma has good deals on used equipment. Don't break yourself.
