I know that you're now rocking a FX3, but today I upgraded my A6500 to a FX30 and a Big part of the reason was because of you and your channel and video. Thank you.
You'll love it. As a filmmaker, I've been looking at getting a b-cam to go with my FX30. Last Saturday I went to a Sony event at a local camera store. At these events you can borrow a camera and shoot with it on site. I brought an SD Card with me, and borrowed the a6700. When I looked at the footage, I was impressed. Not surprising because it has the same dual base ISO sensor as the FX30. So, I'm looking at the a6700 as a possible b-cam. It will match my FX30 perfectly.
@@KofiYeboah i watch your videos to stay informed. Although to me it’s a lot of money. For my budget and use case (podcasts, films, interviews, sports) it’s perfect with the mostly unlimited record times and the quality. Thanks for always breaking things down for us and some of your videos you show affordable options. You and Marques Brownlee are the dopest RU-vidrs especially in the tech and video spaces. Thank you
You’ll love it and learn a lot about the cinema line features from it. I use as an A - Cam and work with many other clients and deliver same file types that the nicer cameras produce. Nobody questions what camera it came from. Just “wow this footage is great!”
Unfortunately its a political Candidate and I can't@@KofiYeboah But I did post a hunting video that isn't that great. Just trying to learn color grading and get used to filming myself
Great job on the video Kofi! Thanks for making it. I'm a film student here in Las Vegas, and I maintain that the FX30 is the best student video camera currently on the market. Not only is the feature-for-dollar value extremely high, one mustn't forget that the ability to marry up with footage from the higher model cinema cameras is a killer value proposition. Oh, and you can use the same lenses on a Burano that you use on the FX30, allowing you to start building your professional kit while still using an "entry-level" cinema camera. Dope.
I just picked up a Sony Fx30. Waiting on my sD card to arrive but I will pair it with my Sony 11mm 1.8 and sigma 30mm. So pumped to use it! Love the vids
I didn't see a link about your desk setup and lighting when you pointed up but I would like to see it when you get a chance. Thanks for all your hard work.
Great video as always and many thanks for extensive work on covering the FX30. It's actually amazing for narrative stuff as well, IMHO it delivers more 'cinematic' images than the competition. It has replaced my Ursa Mini Pro 4.6.
@@KofiYeboah Sounds crazy, right? But I can get so many shots per day with the FX30 that it more than compensates for everything the Ursa excels at. Sony just works, every day.
@@directordizbah1664 Sony images might need more work in post, but the 10-bit codec is very, very versatile. I find it a much more flexible tool than the Ursa.
@@KofiYeboah This'd be great. I'd hate to buy another one now just to face the same issue. There aren't any Camera stores around that let me test them.
I just got the Sirui 24mm Night walker for my fx30 and its insane! I have to use a VND on it without a mattebox unfortunately cause it wont fit with my filter and i wanna be at like a t2-t3 on it, but tis amazing! I mainly got it as a low light lens, and to get down my manual focus more. The 2.8 lenses on the fx30 dont cut it for low light in slog. But i can get a sigma 16mm 1.4, which you can get for literally $350 brand new, and is a lens i think people forget about for fx30 vlogging and lowlight.
@@KofiYeboah I would love to hear your thoughts on the hand held gimbal style they used for the creator. It seams a unique way of shooting and if you had any ideas on why they chose this system over a standard handheld or just a gimbal when need . Love all your work keep it going as I’m learning so much 👍🏾
Hi buddy, I ordered a FX30 today and Rode Podmic USB for the video recording. Which lens do you recommend for streaming and video creation? I'm doing immigration law-related content, just half-body in my office.
I really like my FX30v with the 18-105mm f4 for live events (and decent lighting conditions)-This camera gives me what I need for my projects-I don't do movies! Now, I have a Cobra 2 monopod and I wonder if the new pedestal base would be better than the original base...also are the feet easier to set up at the right angle? Just wondering if I should upgrade at least the base. Thanks
Gotta add those vid links in... Also the End Screen isn't finished... 😂 But past that. Thank You for this video. My 1st Camera is going to be the Fx30. My Full Cinema Rig is geared towards the Fx30. (Mainly because it's what I can afford) And YES ive already bought my cage. 😂😂😂 Before the actual camera. (Don't Judge me) I've also Saved this video and will be watching it again once I get the Fx30 in another Month or 2... Because it's my 1st and only "Real" Camera I will be using it for everything. Short Films, Music Videos, RU-vid content etc. And regardless of any negatives about it from other more experienced Film makers/Content creators I am excited for it. Thank You again for this. Please make more vids on the Fx30. If no one else cares, know that I do. Peace
I'm buy fx30 this month !! Excited just confused with the lens which i should get, will Sigma 18-50 f2.8 be a good option ? Could you suggest some other alternatives
Hi Thanks for this. Wanted to know what would be best video setting to shoot in the evening . I am trying to figure this one out but not able to get the correct settings.
For recording YT videos, do you think iPhone15 Pro is a better choice? Quality seems to be good, dynamic range - according to gerald undone, is higher (compared with CineD tests of a7s iii), and it's cheaper, wdyt?
@@KofiYeboah just trolling a bit, love my Sonys lol love the content too. Glad Jason Morris had you on the pod, have been following ever since. Keep crushing it 🙌
When you have log shooting on, you cant edit your slog3 settings, but i like it because i can use preview LUTs, can you do the detail -7 in davinci resolve?? what would be the steps?? thanks you
