Set white balance with your body cap

Is there a lighting kit u suggest for beginners? I only have the Canon Rebel T7 camera to learn on. With different lenses and stuff. But not sure which lighting lamps strobe lights etc to start with

The Sony lense cap trick is epic. I thought white was used for white balance and 18% grey for exposure? I might be wrong

I thought 18% gray is made for exposure not for white balance. The credit card on the color right is the proper gray card for white balance. The lighter colored one.
