Not sure why the title claims anyone should be “shocked.” It’s Seth Gross - he’s amazing. Daton Fix was amazing - what an outstanding match.

Once had a short on line discussion with Gross where he said basically just dive in with shots and let the chips fall where they may. I suggested these were dumb tactics. He took offense of course. I basically took the 'whatever' stance. Agressive is great if tactics are included. After a bunch of shoot outs, that had him lose, he seems to have found that balance. Good on him.

@@iHeartEyeLadies Nah, I am sure he heard that from WAY more people than me. After awhile, along with losses you should have won, smart wrestlers catch on. Maybe you could consider this an upset since Fix is currently wrestling at a very high level in college at a premier wrestling school. However, this result shouldn't shock the world lol. Seth Gross is a beast. National champ and 2x finalist. Daton Fix is also great and a 3x finalist. The title is kinda misleading.

@@wyattvlasek6020 Okay, I can see that logic. But I don't agree with it. I could also say, Gross was a national champion and Fix has never been a national champion (which is silly). If we knick pick our facts, we can make almost any match seem like an upset.

@@billybud9557 Penn State grad. I also wrestled and coached wrestling in Pa. Big fan. Mr. Fix is predictable and a product of significant successes from early in his career. He is very good no doubt. Unfortunately a cerebral wrestler at this level will beat him. Fix has had issues with take down defense and inability to adjust when confronted with a plan to exploit his weaknesses. He needs to go to Penn State. His NCAA finals appearances have shown this. As far as the take down in this match? It was a correct call.
@billybud9557
@billybud9557 Год назад
@@dohcsmr1175 Watch again very carefully. The rules clearly state Fix needs to have 3 supporting points on the mat while Seth passes behind his hips. I can't see this on several replays. Perhaps you can. If not, it is NOT a takedown.

It's not really a shock to anyone who follows wrestling. Fix is a great wrestler but has fallen into the trap of wrestling not to lose, instead of wrestling to win. Unfortunately it's the same thing that John Smith has done to hundreds of elite wrestlers. Hopefully Ferrari doesn't fall into that also.
