I owned 6 ogee clocks and did research with multiple price guide to antique clock. Those books are very helpful to date a clock.

On my grandfather clock I can just move it’s hour hand with no problem. Could work on this one too

@@V.G.F. well is it battery operated? Because most battery operated clocks allow to move the hour hand freely.

The strike weight (left) Is about 2-2.5 pounds, and the time weight (right) is about 3 pounds.

Normally I would have taken the time to oil it. But this one is just for show.
