This is 1 way of setting a rigging line when the piece is just out of reach. You can tie a throwing knot, throw it through the branch union and feed it all the way to the ground. Then you feed a bight of line on the other side of the union. Someone on the ground can then tie a running knot and run it up to the piece and then take all of the slack out.
