The K-factor is a number that represents the amount of pulses which relates to the quantity of a material that passes the flowmeter. It is also expressed as: number of pulses per unit of measure.
In this tutorial we will set the K-factor for volumetric flow measurement to 25.07705. Furthermore we will configure the settings to display the Total and Flow rate in US gallons per minute.

will the difference in flow meters have an effect on these settings being accurate?

Each flowmeter has its own unique K-factor which needs to be set at the F-series indicator. So different flowmeters will have different K-factors and that results in different settings. When the specified flowmeter K-factor can be set exactly (without rounding) in the F-Series indicator, it will be as accurate as the flowmeter manufacturer has specified.
