In this video I show how to set up the minimum and maximum temperate on a Honeywell FocusPro 5000/6000 thermostat with a bonus tip added on how to change from Fahrenheit to Celsius and back.
literally f'd up MG setting and since I have no manual I was lost after numerous searching I find your video set all menu items as your and OMG I have AC again!!! Thank you sir!!!!
Greetings How-To-Bob! GREAT help with lowering my a/c setting. There's no darn way I could've figured this out on my own! I really appreciate your short, but expert specific directions. Keep up the wonderful work. 👍 ~Tom Savannah GA
Thank you Bob! I came here trying to find out how to switch to Celsius on my TH6110. Never would have been able to guess the solution without your help.
Thank you, Bob. I'm staying in a hotel for a month and it was set for no lower than 69° F. This really helped me because I like it a little cooler than that at night.
Thank you so much. This was a great to the point video. Can't take this VA heat. We got only 2 days of winter this year. Now in March we are already back in summer
I had to do this in a northern US state once where the heat was at 68... 🥶 in the middle of winter!! Just had to adjust my store's setting to a few degrees higher
Thank you for this!! I was certain my husband and I were going to have to just buy a new thermostat. We are renting our home and the previous tenant locked the AC at 71. Finally no longer have to suffer another NC summer with the AC set to 71 max!
Thank you Bob, my Honeywell thermostat model th5110d100, does not switch off when it reaches the room temperature, I set it min.to 23C. in setting and on the normal I set it to 26 but after it reaches 26 it keeps running, please advise?
Will my landlord be able to tell if I upped the minimum heat from 70 to 75? Does the furnace in the basement need to be set to 75 max as well if I change the max temp at thermostat?
Many of the other options have to do with the set up of the AC/furnace so I would not recommend adjusting those because they have been set to match the AC. Thanks for watching.
On aTH4210 how do I get into "settings" and then "preferences" then "smart response technology" to turn "recovery mode" off (and to turn off "energy saving mode" ? Thanks
Is it possible to set the heat temperature range to be for example between 70 and 72 instead of a single number. Don't want to turn on the a/c. if not is there another model that supports this? Thanks.
I live in Edison New Jersey and whenever I get my own house 🏠 I’m gonna be very smart on my energy bills my electric and gas bill so for Spring and Summer I’ll keep my Central air at 73-77 degrees and nice and cool for the warmer months and Winter 🥶 my heat I’ll turn it on like when the temperature reaches below 40 degrees which is in November that’s when I’m going to turn my heat on set at 67-70 degrees in the cooler months.
Can you change how many hours before the fan goes out ? Don’t know if I’m explains it right . But we will have the air on and the fan is running and we will hear it cut out after some time and it won’t be as cold as it was , when the fan was on .
Silly question, I’ve ran into thermostats where I have not been able to do something like that and would I just be able to (temporarily) replace the thermostat in the hotel?
I wonder if there is a setting to extend the temperature range. It only fluctuates about 2 degrees now and is killing the efficiency of my heat pump/gas furnace. If it was not for the wifi i would go back to the mercury switch
I'm not sure I'm having the same issue, my temperature doesn't move AT ALL on heat or cool. I just moved into the house and it is stuck on 70 for heat and 93 for cool. Both not ideal for either setting. Any tips??? I really don't think I need a new thermostat but Honeywell was no help when I called. Also, holding down those 2 buttons doesn't bring up a menu for me... after that Honeywell gave up and told me to buy a new one.
If holding those 2 buttons down does nothing and you cannot raise or lower either the heat or cooling temperature then I would say that it may be an issue with the buttons, probably on the board. In short it sounds like a replacement is in order, Sorry. Thanks for watching
So what settings are good to get it cooling faster bevause i've the cooling to 65 but its been an hour now and it started at 74 and its still at 72 it actually just went up to 73 for some reason
If you have it set to 65 and after a considerable amount of the the temperature is not at 65 then you have a problem with your unit not the thermostat. Thanks for watching.
@@funbro1 I've tried to look it up, even contacted honeywell, I've found nothing. If you find out I'm sure you'd be helping out a lot more than just me.
Mines still isn’t working can someone help? Do I increase the temps for cool higher and temps for warm lower? I just moved into this condo and this darn thing is still too warm for me. I currently have the fan on and the cool temp set to 50 which really seems high and should mean that the room is warm but I can’t get it to work. The indoor temp is currently at 76. I hate sleeping I’m heat so any help I’d take.
When I see one of these in a hotel and leave, I like to set it for the next guest to allow max heat to 64 and maximum cool to 79. It ensures pissed off guests
