Every procedure that involves working on a patient u will need a screen. Because of the need for privacy n confidentiality

Usually u use that to ensure patency but when u are sure the line is patent u can skip that. In case the infusion was not dripping after connecting it then u could have used the saline.

I didn't redraw normal saline. Are you referring to the one that was used to flush the line? That was aqua for injection, it was withdrawn and added to the sterile field at the time of preparing the trolley.
