First time viewer of this channel after looking up Cuckoo cookers. Thank you, Lee family for the rice cooker info. Looking forward into diving into more of your content!
I've had my Zojirushi for 15+ years and wash in the pot's non-stick pot. It still looks as good as new. You're really putting very little stress on the nonstick pot because it never reaches the temperature as it would on a stove.
Can you explain further how to keep eating from the rice for days? Do you use a “reheat” option? I just bought the new version of Cuckoo and it “keeps warm” for 7hrs after it’s cooked… please teach me!
4:49 Momma you need to dry out that pot before inserting it, I've killed cooker before doing what you just did. Everything else you said is true. I'm really impressed with your knowledge, a good cooker should never spoil rice, it should keep warm for 7 days. You are absolutely right. More Asian than most Asians I know lol
Oh my gosh, I just found your channel. You guys are like a weird mirror of my family too. We moved from Louisiana to TN too (about 2 years ago). (The eastern side of TN) and we got ducks, and I just bought a Cuckoo rice pressure cooker, and I am South Korean, husband is Caucasian) We love it here in this State. And I am so very excited for my cooker to come. I have been cooking rice in my heavy bottom pot forever! New subscriber here. Best of luck.
Wow! This comment is such a treat! Thank you for introducing yourself😊 you will LOVE the rice cooker. It’s a complete game changer to have in the home. We are waiting to get a couple of ducks as we speak (video to come). Do you have any advice for keeping ducks?
@@FamiLeeLiving they poop more than chickens, and it is wet. And they make a huge water mess. They splash their drinking water. But I feel like they are easier to care for than chickens. I can't wait to see your video.
1- Those white rice alreadied had most nutrients grind out. So try 2 minimise washing those last nutrients out. 2- if u must wash , wash in another bowl to avoid scratching the bowl. 3- when u add 3 cups of rice (using the supplied cup) then proceed to add water to number 3 as listed on the bowl wall to get the best outcome.
Hi! There’s a couple things that come to mind. 1) you may have left too much water prior to cooking 2) there’s a possibility you hit the “warm” button instead the “cook” button. I can personally attest to the second as I have made this mistake plenty of times and the rice comes out mushy. 😀
Vicky I just got this today and I cannot figure out how to change it to English! How do you do it? I've pressed the auto clean button for 3 secs as directed in the manual and it didn't do anything.
Hi! I know that this question wasn’t directed to me, but as soon as you plug in the rice cooker, once you have your water and rice inside the cooker of course, just press the top right button that says pressure cook/ glutin turbo. It will cook the rice no matter what. I just unplug mine to let it cool down in between refills, so it always does the welcome song in the beginning.
I don't use "finger method" nor the 1:1 for cup:water. See the mark inside the pot, the default cup is super useful. 1 cup, water to the pot mark 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3 etc. The rice quality is made best-of-the-best.
We alternate between basmati and sushi rice. But this one is definitely the sushi rice. If it was a long grain variety, it wouldn’t stick together like it does in this video. Long grain has a tendency to separate when you scoop it out of the rice cooker.
