Setting Up & Planting my FIRST Greenstalk!

I bought 3 GreenStalks this year to try for the first time. I can not wait.

We have 4 Greenstalks having bought 2 more this year; both the 7 tier and the 5 tier. I have grown strawberries and bush beans. This year I will be planting 1 with strawberries, 1 with bush beans, 1 with herbs and useful flowers and 1 with salad stuff - greens, micro tomatoes, and mini / micro peppers. From my experience in zone 7, bush beans and strawberries grew and produced prolifically in our Greenstalk planters. I'll be watching excitedly as you grow in your Greenstalk this year too. Thank you for sharing! I'll be posting for others to take your inspirational growing and hopefully get motivated to grow something for themselves.

My greenstalk planter arrives today :) A first for me. That sale was great! I got the new basketweave design.

We like ours. I tried to grow a lot of lettuce and other greens in it last year. This year I planted it with peppers and some tomatoes. We will see how that works.

Another suggestion; the tube can be longer, but have it run into a rain barrel. All that water has the minerals, and fertilizer that has passed through your Green Stalk, and can be used again to water again. Obviously a bucket can be used and may be easier to handle.🍅🍓🥦
