Hi there I was wanting to know can you do a video concerning anyone who wants to provide three different sizes of their artwork through Procreate. For example, I only art business, and I really want to start turning my artwork into digital file that people can start downloading and buying online but I just want to offer three sizes small medium and large. Frame sizes: 8x10, 11x14, 18x24. How would I size my camas on Procreate app for those specific frame sizes for people to print? I don’t know if I make any sense but I hope I do. Can you explain some of the differences between the sRGB options? My understanding is that not all devices have access to the Display P3 format yet, but I'm not sure which sRGB option to choose. I'm primarily using Procreate with Instagram right now.

I put 3000px for H&W and 300 DPI and it only allows 25 maximum layers.

Hi Nathaniel. i want to make sure that my printed-out artprints are crispy and shiny in colors, same like on my ipad screen. i found that sRGB profile is best for that, i see couple of options in 3:34 of your video. Which is the best? Appearance ? can you please let me know ? thanks :)

How do we get a large canvas to "share, send" properly? Making canvas 300dpi CMYK 24" by 18", but when emailing it, it always comes to the person as a much smaller size of 12" by 9" at 300dpi. As soon as they start to enlarge it to proper size the dpi goes down. I know there must be a simple way to do it that I am missing and can't seem to figure out. Even here you stopped before explain how to save and export. Thanks :)

If you're doing art prints, use the same sized canvas as your print size, and use 300 dpi

Hello I need your advice I’ve set me canvas up with the same settings 3000x3000 and 300dpi I wanted 20x16 inches my art print but printing company said the ordinal size is square and it’s 10x10 inches so what settings do I need to print larger artwork like 16x12 or 20x16 thank you brother

Great video! I plan to print my art in a variety of different products (art prints, stickers, maybe even some apparel and stationery), and I was wondering: would it be good to work on a canvas with the largest size I intend to print on? So say I want to use a design to make a 3”x3” sticker but also a 30”x30” print. Would I draw on a canvas that is 30”x30” and then scale it down as i see it for the obviously smaller sticker, or would I do something completely different?

In general, larger sizes are because it's easier to resize into smaller ones later. But the best case is to design specific to the size.

Hello there. Can we do 24x36 inch 300 dpi work in Procreate? I want to use procreate. But I have to work on my designs in certain dimensions. I have to print at the same time. The highest size I have worked with is 24x36 inches. And it should also be 300dpi. Can I work in procreate with this size and feature?

Yes you can! Just make sure that the size is exactly the same as the requirement from your printer company.

Hi! If I want to print artwork thats not on a square canvas, what size should I make the canvas? Should it be the same size as the print, with 300 dpi? Would any size between 2000 and 3000 px work for good quality, since the minimum is 2000 px?

Unfortunately, there is no solution for this. You must redraw if you want to retain the quality. You cannot resize up. Not even with Photoshop.

Sorry for the question but, would I use this canvas preset then for most projects that are print on demand? Face masks, canvases, tshirts, etc.? Or would I need separate canvas presets for each?

It's best if you have a separate preset for ease of use. They will have different sizes!

You need to know the requirement from your printing company. They will usually specify the minimum and maximum and you can use their sizing and create a preset on Procreate with the same dimensions

Yes, exactly! 3k x 3k would be for square prints. If you need to create different types of art, it would be definitely better to create multiple templates. If you can, make sure to use a 1:1 ratio of your print size and canvas size

What if it was set on rBg and you want to convert it to CMYK? Like after the art work was done?

Note that the colors will look different. Aim to always create in the colorspace of your final output. If you're printing in CMYK, set up your canvas with CMYK first.

do you have to rasterize procreate5 text before saving the file to go to tshirt printing? I uploaded a font into procreate5 text library and used it in my art. It is asking me if I want to rasterize. If I do not rasterize the font before saving for print will it not print or come out crazy during print?

It generally depends on the printer. Some will require that you send them a flat image, but some of them will ask that you send in layers. At any rate, it's best to duplicate your art so you can keep one with layers, and the other one, flat and rasterised.

Depends on the quality of print in general. If you want 300dpi print, then the scale has to be 1:1. However, if you can bear some quality loss, you can print bigger scales like window signs etc.
