Hi Marty. Great video! That was no small job to tackle…..we’ll done. One question remains for me; in your search did you come across an Apple based product that can do track power control and round robin format…? Thanks, Steve

Wow thank you so much for putting this video together it got my system working. I was stuck with the protocol error thinking that was my problem but it was how i was sending my commands. My other thing is that I had to run the program as admin. Thanks again for this video ... Last anyone have a coupon code to send me for the one software in this that costs (web Zone Trigger)

I never found a code for Web Zone Trigger. I actually built my own lap counting hardware and have moved away from the webcam. I posted a video a few weeks ago. I used some photo eyes, arduino and a relay.. and have less in it then the cost of Zone Trigger. It works even better and controls trak power when you hit the track call.. might be worth a look.

Pat, I think that there are so many great analog cars being released at the moment that it is difficult not to want to run analog. Digital is still a lot of fun.. but chipping cars gets expensive if you want to move outside of Carrera Brand.

Yep round robin is how we race at the club. We use race coordinator. At home I use Magic ARC app and for digital I use a digital lap timer. Lap trax is also a super easy option. Trackfans TV has sent us sometging to review that doesnt have lap timing so I am going to do a video with Lap trax to show people how to use it!

Thanks Bryce! It is just an alternative for guys to do lap timing before making a big investment. I think making the investment in hardware to make timing integrated into the track to control power from the software is ultimately where people want to be.. but this would allow baby steps!

Great video, I have used race coordinator for my analog tracks for years and are very happy with it. Never used the webcam detection though :) There are a lot of great features in the software, In my setup I have added callbuttons for each driver so they can call a yellow flag if they crash. This stops the race and the crashed car can be repositioned in it's lane (this way we avoide our cars getting damage by hitting a crashed car on the track), when we restart it will get a time penalty (where it can't start). Just love this software, but haven't tried much else so I'll definitly look into some of the ones you mentioned in the video.

Good to know I do not need the $99.00 version I will mount my new 32" TV on the wall and run an HDMI cable to the Windows 11 laptop which has Race Coordinator installed. I was experimenting with my Windows 11 laptop and another option might be pressing the Windows button and the K button at the same time. This will mirror the laptop screen onto the wall mounted TV if my Smart TV is compatible with my Windows 11 laptop.

I lost my "PRACTICE" option when I first set it up in my efforts to create a race...So I created my own... it was really just to run a zillion laps and only track lap times. BUT now I can't see the full "multiple laps" screen, kind of like Excel. I'd hate to reinstall it though. I've modified a ton of graphics and cars, and drivers with custom avatars etc.. Another example- the ON DECK - never seen it, and we've done RR plenty of times with a ton of drivers, like 12

So while you are in a Race.. click Window in the menu.. there is a bunch of windows you can add to give “On Deck”, Top 5, Leaderboard, race results, etc.

Great video just what i was looking for, my only problem is and maybe I'm nuts! but where to locate the webcam as a newby and being in the UK you may understand why I'm a little slow, unlike my cars. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks, keep up the good work.

No worries! I would mount the webcam above a section of straight track.. not close to a corner… so that you don’t have cars drifting into the other zone… I put mine on the back straight where marshals would not be reaching through the camera shot..
