Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you the bedside nursery setup!! I was thrilled to finally get this done! I am 38 weeks so it's about that time! Nothing like waiting until the last minute to get my life together for this baby!! I hope you enjoy the way I set up the nursery and how I organized the dresser / changing table etc! I am so thankful for this space that I have for this baby and cannot wait to use it to it's full potential! I also set up my little postpartum kit and started throwing things in my hospital bag, which I will share with you ASAP!

I brought a sleep mask with me to the hospital and it was a game changer! It helped to block out lights from monitors, sunlight, and people coming in and out of the room so I could actually sleep. 10/10 recommend! 🙌🏼

When our son was born we were in a little apt. He has a bassinet in the corner of our room and a little cabint fill with clothes and accessories. The we rented a house but then put a crib in our room for a year before setting up his room. We did what worked for the time! Fast forward to 2022 he is 5 and has a sweet bedroom with a playroom next to it in the home we purchased. You are awesome and my favorite person!!!!!

Thank you for posting this a year ago Kim! I didnt expect to become pregnant 1 year later, but this has been my inspo for the bedroom and temporary nursery until we move, and baby has his own room.

I never really had a designated nursery for any of my kids. Eventually my oldest had his own room and then he had to share with his sister for a while. But I did have a little designated spot in my room for baby’s 3 and 4. And your soul feels different when you know you’re having your last baby. Mine is 16 months old and he is the center of our world right now. My kids and I and of course his dad just hover and coddle him. I’m just trying to enjoy every morsel of his baby-ness. I’m on pins and needles waiting for your baby to arrive ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Put the warmer in the top drawer of baby’s changing table. If there is a cord, drill a tiny hole in the back for the cord. Baby’s space looks perfect!

Looks good, Kim! If you plan to leave the bassinet at the end of your bed,maybe you could use your foot board to hang the mobile? Not ideal, but it might be a solution.

Everything thing turned out beautiful. I wanted to mention if your floors are real hardwood DON’T use the vacuum mop. I found out the hard way, it will ruin in floors in just a couple years and water goes between the cracks, seams and it will mold. Save yourself a lot of tears and just use your spin mop but wring it out super dry. I think hardwood should come with a huge ⚠️ warning because I had no idea!

When I paint,or get my hair cut at home,I use a black garbage bag. You use a tape measure,chalk,curve the neck,and draw the bottom of a triangle for sleeves on each arm. It does not get dirty and you can always reuse the garbage bag for a smock. Sharen

Michaels and I’m sure many other places- even IKEA sell little side hanging hooks and cups for those carts. That can really be helpful when you need a little more storage to keep those most needed items at hand. Maybe Merrideth needs her own cart for her room. She could keep her baby doll and her baby doll things on her cart. Or her art supplies. Could be a sanity-saver for sure. The small table with storage is practical and stylish and if you don’t want to see the diapers and stuff then simply tack, staple or tape a piece of fabric behind the door to cover it. You could use an old pillowcase that you cut to size or purchase a piece of light fabric. A simple muslin would be nice. I think you did a great job on everything.

Wish I would of found your channel sooner. I am 36 weeks pregnant and just found your channel motivating. I love how down to earth and relatable you are with your make overs. I often get overwhelmed with making over a space because I get caught up in the perfection "pinterest" of it all. Its nice to see real people making real transformations. Also, I know how hard it is to do this stuff third trimester. Takes 2x as long to do anything and I usually pay for it the next day.

For the mobile, once you have it screwed on, try to use a zip tie to secure it. I did this with ours, and when my son was ready to go to his crib, we cut the zip tie and moved it to his crib. No damage to co-sleeper or mobile and it was nice and secure in the meantime!

Everything looks very cute and comfortable. I know you wanted the addition to be ready before baby arrived, but they stay in our room for a while anyways. Don’t let it stress you out. I get it, a bit. We contacted roofers beginning of the year, but since our roof wasn't urgent they said they'd do it when they had the time. It's September, last week of, they're coming over. I am just glad it's finally getting done. They're very nice people, so there's that!

Hospital bag necessity….. stroller fan!!! Super easy to hook on bed rail and adjust how you want from the bed it took forever when I ask the nurse for one the first time

I also used fusion paint for my youngest’s dresser makeover before she was born! This video is bringing back all the memories of me pregnant with her doing all the things 😂. 2+ years later and it’s still doing great (and that’s with 2 moves mixed in there!).

The mobile might be able to attach to that changing table top frame that you had removed before painting. You can try that & then just paint that to match the dresser if it works. It can help entertain baby while being changed. I had a mobile over my little one's changing area, it helped alot. 🙂
