I found setting the app up for my K7 to be a pretty awkward task. In this video I show the steps I went through to set up the app prior to using the machine.
Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use ru-vid.comUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
I must admit I thought "why would I want an app for a power washer?" when I saw the video title. I'm still not certain why but I will await your next videos. thanks Russell.
Russell got the K7 today assemble when well, then i tried to pair the gun to the machine after an hour i had to walk away still not paired . I will try later so if you see a K7 flying through the air you know it hasn't work. !!
Thanks for the video. I have just purchased this machine from screwfix and now wondering if I should of bought the K7 home premium rather than the K7 smart ,didn't realise there were different K7 machines at time of purchase. My fault for not researching properly.
What's the difference between the two? I have the smart one but haven't used it yet. Is the only difference just that the smart one connects to an app?
@@I-islam575 i heard that it's a common issue. Go to your closest karcher service or store and tell them. If its on warranty then they'll fix it for free
In my opinion it is way to overly engineered for something as trivial as a preassure washer. I have a new phone yet I am not able to pair it to the kärcher k7. Been at it the whole day doing the exact same steps as shown on the video.
This is funny... Using an app on a phone to control the setting on your power washer.. I don't think many phones are water proof and will get destroyed and oh what happened to brain power...thanks for the video though. I stay with the k4 manual one.
i cant even get the app to work. Created account and then cant log in, just brings me back to log in screen. continue as guest it just loads forever. on a galaxy zfold 3 and i use a ton of apps for a ton of things no problems, just cant even get to step one with this heap o crap. will be returning
@@RussellPlatten oooh havent heard of those. but when i returned the karcher - honestly what heap of s........ what Fwit thought having to download an effing app, and have to connect to phone, so you can use the bloodly power handle and adjust pressure - was a good idea. Oh you want to open your fridge? just download a janky app that wont run properly nor connect and then just open the app and sign in and connect and press open on the app!!! Honestly, what the F are they thinking. Its a pressure washer, its not a playstation. FFS. But at bunnings here the gerni's looked good - 7 year warranty vs karcher 2 year warranty so just picked up the gerni 7300. what do know, app free and i could just plug it in and just use the thing! Genius :) when i get a moment later today karcher are going to get some feedback ;)
You could have a look at this version: amzn.to/2S5Fin8 A friend of mine bought one a few weeks ago and was very pleased with it. It is a K7 without the bells and whistles. The pressure is controlled by adjusting the lance manually like the old versions. Check the specs and hose length etc before making up your mind. :-)
Hi I have had to buy a new gun as my original broke. Where can I get the QR code from now as My Wife through the packaging away and my pressure washer has lost the serial number sticker ! This has basically rendered my gun useless can you send a photo of the QR code ? Thanks
You can see the QR code clearly in the video and should be able to use that. If not it is easy to download the instruction manual for your power washer from the Karcher web site. :-)

Just used the washer, but needed to unplug and connect to a longer power supply. Now it will not pair. TRIED FOR AN HOUR. I rebooted the iPhone X, unplugged and plugged the washer unit, pressed the buttons, then pressed one button, and never even got the icons on the screen to activate, let alone make a connection. Pretty dismal. German software is crap.
Theresa's nothing difficult about the instructions turn power on press 2 buttons done you let go of the plus button before the screen came on the first time thats why it didn't work and with your phone not connecting try updating your software as my mother's iPhone 6 connected right away
The app is a complete waste of time. The only input it has on the pressure washer is to alter the pressure on the gun. This is a very simple operation without the app! I found the pairing process very complicated and I have paired more apps with devices than most people. The app is just an easy way to get more sales and revenue from customers! :-)
This smart control is absolute fecking junk, waisted most of the day setting up on the phone only for it to make no difference to the control. Pathetic waist of time.
