Setting up the M5Stack Atom Echo as a voice assistant for Home Assistant 

This is absolutely amazing. I was following the whole year of the voice. This makes it really simple and affordable to finally be able to dump Alexa out of the house for good. Freedom!! Thanks so much for showing!

Just got one of these and its cool. Have had issues with it understanding me and not as fast as all the videos I seen online. Sometimes its does things instantly and other times it takes 15 seconds. Hopefully time will make this product better.

When you opened your home assistant interface on your mac, it looks similar to the macOS companion app, but there's no window titlebar to be seen. How did you do that? Or, what is displaying these contents if not the companion app?

I have an old M5 stack and haven't set up anything yet. I will have to look into setting this up now. I didn't realize I could do that with my current hardware. My M5 stack is already working as a bluetooth proxy. I wonder if I need to change the firmware on it, or just get the rest of the voice pieces installed on HA? update: I have an atom lite. not going to work, lol. no speaker.

I’ve bought these a little bit ago, I have been having issues with these things not working consistently and sometimes not picking up my voice unless I’m personally beside them. I’m not sure if I did something wrong or there is something wrong with the device

Does the button have any special function in this example with that FW version? Can an ESP Bluetooth Proxy be used as a discovery helper?

What is a good USB Type-C power supply that can be used with these?

Can you do a similar setup using HA in docker? I've been trying off and on for months and have had zero luck getting the Echo to actually work...

When it responds for me e.g. turned off lights the audio is choppy, not clear like this.

I got one before Christmas. The trust me I am preinstalled in China sticker got ignored. Despite years of experience as a programmer I failed to set it up correctly. The chain of 4 different guides for four different components did not help. I had no idea what each component does and what the parts of each component are used in the chain do and why. The guides couild honestly be in Chinese it would have not made a difference. Do this then do that then do this then do that is rather an alienating experience.
