@chrisdied, if you going to be using your own router then all you need to do as far as the configuration is concerned is to setup the router using either PPPoE or IPoE depending on what authentication methods your connection is setup to use
I am having so much trouble with my cconnection, have entered my login details in the router at the pppoe connection type, click save, and then connect.... the nothing seems to happen and no internet connection is made.... i have connected the zyxel router and it connects.... but then i have slow speeds, should be 500 50 line, and im getting 90/50 at best... plugged in laptop via ethernet cable and got one speed test of 390/50...
A clever tech support agent named Mothusi atleast got me connected with the orher router, but still seems that there might be a fault, highest speed we got direct from modem without router was 200mbs.... even when we used a 1000mbs test line it was still just 200mbs max and 50 up, 50 ip on the 1000/1000 test line aswell
Hi there I have an issue where I have separated my 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks each with a different name and password which works for a day but it seems like every 24hours it automatically combines the two under one name. I then have to go into the router and simply click on save with the current setting which it then updates and splits the two again. Any thoughts on why it is automatically combining the two every 24 hours or so?
Good day. I just need some info on this Router as I got mine few weeks ago. The router have a USB port for sharing devices over network. With this I am struggling with to access the device over the network even if I try to type the path correctly it shows file not found

I tried this method and it didn't work. I tried the wizard method that mweb gave me and when I click done or try save any setting it just shows those dots going in a circle for ever and ever. I don't know what to do.
@@jillianyu4043 I phoned mweb tech support. It's something on their end they haven't activated. My advice. Reset the router. Do the normal setup as per the mweb page. In other words just run the install wizard and then phone them and tell them what's happening. I had to give them my routers serial number and then they did something and it worked.
@@jillianyu4043 in fact just reset your router and them phone them and tell them what's going on. As long as when you phone them the wifi signal is available if you look on a device. They will activate it. I've heard of this issue all over now recently after having it happen to me its an mweb related issue they not activating something on their end

Old router HUAWEI with yellow thin wire which one conect with internet original wire and thin yellow wire I cant join with my ZYXEL router coz there is no plug for yellow thin wire

Howzit going? Could you please tell me or maybe please show us how to upgrade the firmware please? I have this common issue, where if I put wifi on and switch the router off, then not one of my devices pick up the router once it's been rebooted. This applies from tv's to cell phones to any device. It just won't pick up the router at all. And this in turn is very frustrating as I always switch the router off when not in use. ( for example during the night or not at home) So every single day I have to go into the router and turn wifi off then back on again. Only thing that works. This only indicates that the router is faulty or some sort of update is required for a hot fix. I have tried to find a firmware update but not getting any hits. I would like to try update it first before I send it back and wait days for a new router. Thanks for the vid and your help!
Morning Wes T, firmware is auto-updated by the router partner Nology directly. There is no option to manually update the firmware for the routers we offer with our services. Hope that provides some clarity ^^
I would also like to know! My router started to slow down when on international websites, resetting the router works for a few seconds then it’s back to snailing speeds, this is one of the worst routers with no support!

Hi there Chris, upon activation, our system will send an email confirming your connection activation along with the fibre data username and password. All settings would generally be the same as shown in this video, you would just need to enter your connection username and password when running your router set up wizard. @Jennino Speelman comment is spot-on, it does depend on the connection type your fibre is set up on.

@@LiamJacobs-q4v Fibre is generally activated remotely. We have pre-configured routers delivered to our clients to ensure they get to plug n play. As a backup - we do have a onboarding tech team who call our clients to make sure their set up is ready for internet connection.

Hi there, hmm... if all other devices manage to locate your WIFI connection, perhaps check in with your Samsung TV manufacturer and discuss the WIFI settings on the device. Perhaps check if the relevant wifi channel is enabled /on. Reach out if you need any help/ Rs^
