I bought a ready to run set like this only the cars were the Pennsylvania line. The quality is the first thing you notice opening the box, the stability on the tracks is great when running. The video is helpful, but when it came to coupling the train cars I had to laugh, I knew how to do that when I was 6. Lionel is the best, thank you for the video.
Great Video! What do you do at the end when the kids are done playing? How do you power down the transformer or has to be unplugged all the time? Thank you
So my CSX number 9019, a CW44-9 does not have a volume switch on it or the transformer. How do I turn it down because it’s so loud I could probably wake up my neighbors just by turning it on. And apparently it’s not a super common model so it’s hard to find anything about it on the internet. This is kinda a last resort 😂
Hey I just got a howorts express and I can't get it running... I'm hoping it's not the power suply. It looked like it was only run once. When I plug it in no light comes on... any thought on what I should do to get it running.
Hey Ryan I just bought my son the lionel Polar express o gauge set and have a question for you. It came with the standard amount of track and I'm wanting to add to it... About double actually to the 7x7 Christmas tree layout and was wondering if I will need to buy a bigger transformer or power supply since the track will be twice the size? Because I have noticed just being in the little oval layout when the train is on the opposite side of the power track it isn't as fast(only while in low speed)
Hello Jacob: That should not be a problem. You can add more track without upgrading transformer. You may need to add some additional feeder wires but transformer should be fine. Call us at 800-964-8724 if you need help. Thanks. Brian
Can someone help me? We can’t get the transformer to transfer power to the track. We have the wires connected to the transformer but it’s not revving up when we move the throttle. We’ve checked the wires but... idk, help please!
Thanks. I just got this train and kept putting oil in it but to no avail. It even started leaking from the bottom. Finally I increased the speed to about 70 and it started to puff smoke but was nearly invisible in the light.
trying to get train to work. I have an older model train that worked year ago. I just pulled it out to put around the tree. the transformer comes on but train does not move.
+Victor Kronberger Also not every Lionel train set have air whistle/digital whistle sounds and trainsounds. Some do have RailSounds but the RailSound sets are the new Lionel LionChief plus sets.
It's because the hollow plastic base of the track is carrying the vibration echo through it. When you're running older heavy engines it makes it worse.
