This video, the second in a series about settling the American colonies, is about the experiment known as Maryland. Maryland was dreamt up by Sir George Calvert, Lord Baltimore, as a refuge for English Catholics in a period when they were unable to practise openly. Like certain other colonies, Maryland was part of an elite experiment in governance.

Americans can be _'storied'_ - especially when it comes to their genealogy, peerage no less. But regardless, You are reaching out, Amber and _You shall not 'receive snakes when You ask for an egg'_ . What's on Your mind ? Questions of 'eschatology', I hear while 'not being a people person' - with drink numbing a *sense of **_aporia_* , I _assume_ ? I haven't left my appartment since 2017 - as outside, 'all directions are the same', in a way. If You want to talk about something with _a fool_ , I'll make time in my 'schedule'... I'll bet a -hamster- sandwich that You haven't heard the story of Isaac the Syrian - but will probably relate to it, anyway. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XlJhoCDvXlM.html You don't have to be _'obliged'_ to be engaged - to be sincere with oneself is all there is - until one hears a call that isn't petty.

Great history lesson. Thank you. Rev. White converted my 9th great grandfather, King of the Piscataways, Chitomachen Kittamaquund. You show a portrait of that event in this video. Leonard Calvert took in the Kings daughter, Princess Mary Kittamaquund (my 8th ggm) and raised her.

A wealth of compelling info. Bravo. I forwarded it to my friend , and fellow Baltimorean Mr. Howard, whose family farm in St Mary's county is very much intertwined with the first settlement and fort? he has family tales of how his Grandmother's house was built on top of the archaeological historic foundations etc. and her home was moved a short distance away a great expense by those sponsoring the digs back then that are apparently ongoing.

Hello, I enjoyed your appearance on the jolly heretic and look forward to watching your videos. Have you ever considered doing any videos on Belloc, Chesterton, Lewis or Dostoevsky? I would be very interested to hear your views on them

Hello and thank you… I am very much interested in the Distributists. I do discuss Chesterton and Belloc in some of my English Civil War videos and have deeper explorations planned. I love both Lewis and Dostoevsky as well, and would like to cover them in future.
