Thank you for making this tutorial! It took me 2 hours to put it together ***sigh*** Imagine how long it'd take if I didn't watch this video lol Thank you James :D
The desk is surely far from easy and straightforward to assemble. Thanks so much for the video man! And when even this guy has hiccups while assembling with pro tools, imagine the plight of people like me who don't have the tools (I painstakingly used the supplied hex for the screws). I hope Omnidesk improves this...
Best review of this desk so far in youtube. Insane setup bro! This amount of work and effort deserves more subs! Well you just earned mine. Keep it up!
Guess all monitors are above 1920x1080. Being that close to a monitor oeffff... I did mean that old table. That new one is sick man! That black is really nice! Good you got good sun blockers for the windows :)
Hi James, I can see youre from australia as well, where did you buy the powerboard and how did you mount it so its just hanging upside down under your desk? Second question do you find the middle part that sticks out (where the standing desk motor is) ever bumps into your knee when youre sitting down cross legged? Thanks! Love your video!
Kinda weird that that extender cable from left to right is that long. Now you need to do all kinds of cable management for the table itself hahaha But having that cover is nice, i was a;ready thinking why doesnt the table have something nice to cover that ;)
Hi James, just wondering how the desk has held up? I heard it can get scratches and because I prefer the white version for my room, I'm worried it'll be scruffy looking. Also, I saw they have a "curved" version to help reduce the strain where your forearm meets the table edges - has this been an issue with your straight edge version? The curved version loses space and i can't decide between space vs comfort
I haven't had issues with the desk scratching that bad, but I do use a desk pad so hard to say. I have no issues with the straight version and prefer the extra space given :) hope that helps!
@@jcunboxing It really does -- and thank you for taking the time to reply every single comment. You rock and should have way more subscribers. I've def subscribed myself :D
Hey James, I watched 3 other vids before yours and got so frustrated, your instructions are great but you should go back and update the video where you got the holes in the wrong place for the screws to go in for the main frame
Hi James, Thanks for doing these. Quick question, could u tell me which model & size that center ultrawide Dell screen is? It looks so perfect! (ps: checked ur gearlist, but it isn't on there ;)
How much flex do you get in the middle of the desk? I am planning to use this desk (largest size) for crafting so need a decent flat surface for stamping images etc. I will only have one monitor, so weight overall shouldn't be a big issue. Would appreciate your advice.
@@jcunboxing thanks! I’m setting up my Omni as we speak, my focusrite was going to be the only thing beside mouse and keyboard, but this is a great idea! I’ll be doing the same! Just when I thought my setup was getting crazy good then I see yours 😆 well done you’ve done great... I’m jealous!!!
Haha nah I'm sure yours looks great too. There's something nice about simplicity and minimalism as well :) with the focusrite, just be sure to tape the strips from the front to back (as opposed from side to side). This way you have more resistant when you're putting forward pressure when plugging things in and out and making adjustments.
Late reply, but yes still using the desk with more on it haha. It does flex unfortunately but that's probably because I stack two heavy 34"ultrawides on it.
Great video James! Would really come in handy once I've bought it and will definitely rewatch again when I'm fixing it. Was planning to get the normal or considering the solid wood option. How's the table holding up after a year of use with that much weight on it since it's MDF and not solid wood. Does it sag in the middle and how's the wobble on the table (can't stand my monitor shaking while typing).
Honestly hasn't really been flexing despite the huge weight I put in it. Wobble is not there for normal use, but if you really push/heavily leave on the front of the desk it does wobble. But dunno if that's coz I have so many monitors lol
Awesome video and setup man! I've got mine on order at moment. In terms of your monitor arm mount did you find the cable management bar got in the way of the monitors arm clamp?
This is a really cool review, i recently picked up one of these amazing desks. One question, how did you mount your powerboard to the underside of your table?
