Excellent explanation. I appreciate the brevity and to-the-point guide. Why do so many on RU-vid take so long to say the same thing this pleasant fellow makes clear and understandable in a mere 3:51 video? Thank you for respecting your viewers’ time; much appreciated. Oh, and I now know how to adjust my Shibuya plunger-thanks!!
If your bare shaft is landing to the left, it's probably more effective to increase the draw weight using the limb bolts (increase bot the same amount and reinsert the set screw) and vice versa for a bare shaft landing to the right. This wasn't possible for bows without limb bolts, so button pressure was used.
Good explanation, but might be nice to see a more detailed video showing when to change the spring - how to tell if the standard spring isn't doing the job...
Not sure why, but if I compress the spring the full amount, i can’t tell a difference vs all the way out... is this inexperience or is the spring too soft (ots the medium spring beiter)
If you are not noticing the difference while bare shaft tuning, e.g you are not able to move the bare shaft closer to the fetched grouping it could be a couple of things. One could be that the spring is too soft or too week, but it could also be issues with center shot, arrow spine, or your shooting form and release. I've had this issue myself before and in my case it was that the spring was too soft. What I think was happening was the spring was fully compressing no matter how much I stiffened it. Tried out a couple of the stiffer springs and eventually got it dialed in. Also seen it when helping others that it was caused because they hadn't accounted for the effect of cutting down the shaft of the arrow effectively stiffening the arrow, which put the arrow out of the ideal spine range, meaning the button couldn't offset it enough, in this case it was was sorted with heavier points which were cheaper than getting a new set of shafts.
Hi, first you will want to adjust to depth to get the centre shot right. Then adjust the pressure. There is another video on my chanel about setting the centre shot.
