Sevagoth has been updated since this video, including the following: * Base armour increased from 110 to 150 * Gloom now drains based on enemies affected. Base rate is a lot cheaper as a result I'll update this if/when there are further significant changes in the next few weeks
hi there, I love ur videos even if I don't understand all the logic I enjoy the process that u come up with all this, best weapons or warframe builds, or explaining the logic behind certain mechanics like damage types, especially love when the warframes explained from ground up like the sevagoth please keep going and do the same for other warframes even the old ones. it would be good if u have lore and story videos too
The Shadow counts as a new spawn when it's called, so unless that got patched, using Preparation will give you a full energy pool upon casting 4 every time.
Sevagoth's 3rd ability slows down enemies by causing intense sadness, sadness effectiveness scales off of power strength and range, attacking saddened enemies heals Sevagoth
Sevagoth's shadow is treated as a fresh spawn every time it's summoned. Which means Preperation will give shadow a full energy bar every time it's summoned
I mean, that was clearly DE's intention; use Sow and then Reap as a kind of one-two punch. The reason that doesn't happen much in practice is because Sow just doesn't DO enough to make it worth the energy expenditure compared to just spamming Reap.
I myself would switch out rolling guard for vitality in the gloom support build. Just so that you have bigger pool to replenish. Sure rolling guard in combination with shieldgating is most likely better at higher levels but at that point lifesteal from gloom becomes redundant anyway since your HP will get one shotted. So having vitality makes for build that cant go against too high level enemies but its much more managable (you dont have to watch out for timers etc.).
the only thing that would change in Sevagoth would be the fact that his shadow doesn't fly, it would be much better because it would make it much easier to move to look for more enemies
Maybe this is just a me problem, but I've always found survival with him unusually difficult. The slow doesn't really help with getting enemies to stop shooting you, so once you hit a certain point, you just die instantaneously. Slowing enemies to a crawl doesn’t stop them from pouring bullets into you faster than you can avoid. Sucks gloom is really good but on its home frame it doesn’t do as much as youd hope sense yoir either at full health or your just dead.
Quick Thinking and Adaptation are a waste of a slots, IMO. Your time in shadow form is limited by your blood well, anyway. If you die in shadow form, big whoop. You can charge the blood well in like 15 seconds and pop shadow again. The again, it´s a matter of preference, of course.
Have you touched the shadow'3 + main frame 2 + 1 combo to almost instantaneously fill up death well too? Using high str build on shadow, high str build for the main frame give you almost 95% shadow uptime. And why did you use rage instead of hunter adrenaline? :> But yea.. your build is more forma affordable (cries in 15 formas)
im curious, wiki says his gloom slow stacks with cold procs, soo is it possible to get mobs to slow down by 100% ( or very close to) by using max strength gloom and stacking cold procs?
technicly yes but iirc both a multiplicitive to each other like ehat and corrosive procs but xaku with enough strength can make it actually 100% with their 4
Cast 2 then 1. The more enemies there are, the more it does as it causes an explosion on each of them. Only a couple enemies, only a couple explosions which means much less overall damage. Other issues include hitting higher level grineer as their armour resists a lot of the damage; getting stuck with ancient disruptors/healers blocking a lot of damage; not having the full build so lacking the range or strength; or simply expecting a little too much from it. It's not an equinox tier nuke.
I can’t replicate the damage done to the 160 Heavy Gunner. I did the one attack, I didn’t have mods on the claws, I tried it with and without power strength on Sevagoth. What am I missing?
With power strength on Sevagoth (not the shadow). Hold aim then press melee while standing still. This is a block attack. Not all the hits are forced slash so you need to land them all to guarantee you hit the slash. Then, voilá.
Corrosive Projection reduces armour, which helps the damage of the first ability and the damage of the 2+1 combo, but doesn't affect the damage over time that the second ability does on its own due to it being "true" damage.
I've not ignored it with Sevagoth, I've omitted it because it's not needed. You can go for a clunky slow animation that leads up to a killing blow, or you can do the faster animation that still gives you a killing blow.
@@TheKengineer thanks for the reply! It was just in my mind ever since the top melee video and the zaw video too. (I also wanted to comment cause thats engagement for you and aparently youtube likes that)
I can't figure out how to get to where I can mod sevagoth shadow/claws I thought it would be like Excaliburs exhalted blade but I can't find it can someone help me?
So i was playing all day long with this warframe, tried the builds. I can honestly say its a terribly squishy warframe. You need to kill enemies fast to sustain your fragine health or be able to use 4th ability, you are being hammered and on enemy levels 50+ you are seriously strugling. You can be pulled, knocked down or get status effect and get instantly wrecked. You allso need range and it doesnt go well with power strength. Strength and effitiency, and you suffer from low health and armor. So if you dont have fully stacked arcanes like grace or guardian - dont bother. If you use setups like in this video you might be able to have some fun in a team with friends but in a public runs and use arcane energize - forget it. Health conversion to energy is viable but at a such a low hp pool is useless above lvl 50+. Eventually i take good old atterax "spin to win" and its same old sotry of mas murdering, so why do you need a warframe with such sloppy skills to fill the bar for its 4th ability ? Further, Shadow is even wors in survivability and focusing just on a heavy atack that you need to use while standing and possibly sacrificing a slot for fast charge is absurdly not practical in a game of mass swarms. Mele animation locking is absolutely tragic in the game. Then you get warframes of mas crowd control leaving you preety much on the thin ice. This warframe needs tweaking.
Shield gating + rolling guard. You are effectively immortal as long as you're good at it. Especially because this dude gets 2/3 forms (shadow, normal, and shadow when he is downed) which allows you to use shield gating even more. In higher level content this makes him actually tankier than a lot of other frames. Because when you get oneshot by enemies if you don't have a shield to use shield gating, having multiple shields and multiple forms is a way to be incredibly tanky. And BTW, gloom is an amazing CC ability, and the shadow also has amazing CC. Even more than that, enemies affected by death's harvest can basically take as much damage as if you had a roar on. Which is quite amazing. So the problem with sevagoth comes from you. Especially if you still use atterax in 2021 and talk about it as if it was still the meta lol
@@dhgfffhcdujhv5643 shield gating is the way to tank in steel path and endurance. Like the only reason a lot of frames can even live in steel path endurance is shield gating. I have tried steel path with shield gating. And it works! Use rolling guard when your shield breaks, it works especially well with brief respite or the augur set bonus to replenish shields. Try doing endurance runs in steel path (long ass times in disruption or survival or other infinite missions) without shield gating or abilities like revenant wise guy.
@@dhgfffhcdujhv5643 you are the one that started talking shit about shield gating. But sevagoth, with 3 shields (shadow/normal form/ revival form) , can take advantage of shield gating extremely well. At lower levels, he is squishy by the traditional way of stacking armor and health and adaptation. But by shield gating, which not only is usable at low levels, but also at extremely high ones (9999 too) while tanking with health and armor and adaptation becomes basically impossible, he is pretty goddamn hard to kill. A good player with sevagoth is very hard to kill, especially because in endless missions, especially on steel path, there are always a fuckton of enemies. And it also oneshots enemies, so it not only works well as a way to tank, but also is amazing at busting tankier targets.
