Criminal - Meliodas Animal - Ban Typical - Diane Breakable - King Unable to be fought - Gowther / Escanor / Merlin

*I'm a simple Girl, I see Seven deadly sins and I click*

I honest to god LOVE Nanatsu no Taizai. And, spoilers here Also, note: I got a lot of my info here from Nux Taku But I love how each Sin's Character Arc? End when they finally get over their sin. KING - SLOTH His character arc had quite possibly the earliest end. It was the whole smuck with Helbram. He got over his slothfulness- His inability to do anything- and the upsetting things his slothfulness had caused, when he finally made peace with Helbram's spirit. DIANE - ENVY Diane's character arc ended about three times. Each time? It ended with the return of her memories of her time with King. Once she remembered her life with King, she was able to get over her envy of Elizabeth, since Diane no longer wanted Meliodas. She was happy, as she had King, her true love. MERLIN - GLUTTONY Merlin's character arc is one we never really see play out, since it all took place long before the series, but her sin was the gluttony she had for knowledge, and how her craving for knowledge led to her entire race being wiped out. (It is established, by Merlin, that her kind weren't quite human.) At some point, likely since joining the sins? She gave up her pursuit of knowledge, and instead? She uses her knowledge to help the kingdoms, only really appearing when needed. In the series? She is known to have bought Lostvayne when Meliodas was trying to sell it, so that they didn't lose it. She helped Arthur whenever the could, so that Camelot would be prosperous. She and Arthur appeared in Liones just in time to save Bartra. She doesn't put her desire for knowledge above all else anymore. GOWTHER - LUST Gowther's character arc, like Merlin's, is a bit harder to spot. He doesn't feel lust in the conventional sense, that being sexual lust, but he moreso lusts to understand others emotions. The only problem is that he does so in the worst possible way. He corrupts and erases Diane's memories, and more. His character arc ends when he finally has emotions. He, at last, understands emotions for himself. He has back his heart, his missing emotional memories. He realises that everything that's happened to his mind? Was his own doing. He finally feels sorry for doing exactly what he did to himself to everyone else, and he is happy to finally understand his friends. ESCANOR - PRIDE This one is quite possibly the most obvious, as his Pride is the most obvious sin. During the day he looks down on others. He never thinks of anyone as greater than himself, even if it's barely daytime. His character arc's conclusion is the longest, as it spans from his battle with Meliodas, right up to him giving up Sunshine to Mael, it's original owner. When he beats Meliodas, he collapses. He is barely able to beat Meliodas, even at Midday when Sunshine is strongest. This is an eye-opener for Escanor, who hasn't EVER struggled to win a fight. Then? When he fights people like Zeldris? And he can barely land a few hits? That's when he realises it. He isn't the best. He is, in fact, NOT "The One who Stands Above All Else". When he finally meets Mael, he is forced to admit that. Even in daytime, where his pride should control his every action? He admitted that he wasn't good enough. He wasn't worthy of Sunshine, and just couldn't use it as well as Mael would be able to. He defeated his Pride, at last. MELIODAS - WRATH Meliodas' character arc has a few distinct landmarks, and in the words of Nux Taku? It mimics the series itself. When Meliodas first appears, both he and the series seem kinda ridiculous and happy, with a few small mysteries, and practically no real threats. As things progressed, and the mysteries began to unravel? Meliodas, and again, the series itself, both begin to get deeper and deeper, and actually begin to seem rather sad. And then, at the end? After the series and Meliodas both turn almost dark? Things take a turn for the better. Things seem hopeful. Meliodas, and the series, are happy once more. His curse is broken, and he has defied his wrathful nature multiple times by overcoming his anger, and the imposing figure that is the Demon King. BAN - GREED As I have said several times, Quite a bit of this I realised thanks to Nux Taku's videos, and naturally? His favourite character arc and my favourite are the same. Heck, since he appeared Ban has been my favourite character, but through reading the Manga, reading into Ban's extra information, and watching Nux's videos? I've grown much more attached to Ban than I was. Ban's character arc began with his very first appearance, and ended RIGHT near the end. Bar Meliodas'? It's the longest one. Once again, This was pointed out by Nux, but Ban's powers actually mimic his mental state and his character arc. At first, he uses Snatch. A power that basically embodies Greed. However, the more he overcomes his flaws, those being his greed, regrets, self-hatred, and more? The less he uses Snatch. This gets to a point where, in the end? When he finally has overcame it all? After he risks his life, LITERALLY going to hell and back for his friends, and risking that which he holds most dear to TRY to stop Meliodas from being killed, alongside many other selfless acts? He gives the ultimate gift. To give life to Elaine, his love, he uses the power Gift, his new replacement for Snatch. He Gifts his very own lifeforce, the immortality that he valued so much, in order to let Elaine live. Despite no longer being immortal, he is now at his strongest. He goes toe-to-toe trading blows with the Demon King- A feat that not even Meliodas, Zeldris, Escanor, or Mael could manage before him, and he comes out on top, saving his friends life. He gave up his immortality, for happiness and love. tl;dr? Seven Deadly Sins AKA Nanatsu no Taizai is amazingly made.
