We spent the first weekend of October in the Chelan-Entiat Mountains of Washington State. With our eyes set on Seven Fingered Jack (9,100') and Mount Maude (9,040'), we set out Friday night and slept over at the Phelps Creek Trailhead. On Saturday morning we hiked up to Leroy Basin where we set up basecamp for the weekend. After lunch at camp, we tackled 7FJ and enjoyed absolutely perfect conditions. The following day we left camp for our second objective, Mount Maude. This was the easier objective of the two, so we enjoyed a leisurely day on the beautiful mountain before packing up camp and heading out. 20.9mi | +9,094' Elevation Gain #lifeisbetteroutside

Excellent video with beautiful fall colors, and nice to see that the wild North Cascades are as unpopulated as decades ago. Do you have videos yet of Dome and Bonanza Peaks?

Still beautiful and wild and there for those willing to make their own way. Haven't gotten to Dome yet, but I do have a video for Bonanza! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1LrwEUJfYVc.html

Beautiful footage! Question, how was the road getting to the trailhead? Is a high clearance vehicle mandatory?

It's been a while since we were out there, this video was from 2020, but from my recollection, the road in and out was not bad - I think you should be fine without it. We drive a higher-clearance vehicle (Subaru Forester) though, so don't take my word for it!

Interesting - these are different approaches? I thought you could do them on the same hike. Amazing views! Is this the same area you would hit Mt Fernow from? Love your videos!

Same approach! You can definitely do them on the same hike, Maude is just a little detour. Yes, it is the same area you hike through to get to Mt. Fernow. Thank you for the love, we really appreciate it!

I'm hoping to do this same adventure this summer! How was the scramble up to Seven Fingered Jack, in terms of sketchiness and exposure?
@wildoutsiders

It is steep and a little unrelenting but never scary or exposed. The tippy top is the place where you'll find the most exposure, but the summit is definitely big enough to find a comfortable place to rest. I am not sure of your comfort level, but in terms of the things we generally get up to, 7FJ was fairly painless. Enjoy! and let us know how it goes!!!
