I wonder why Segun's (Beautiful Nubia) songs are not so popular on Nigerian airwaves. BN is one of the few Nigerian musicians whose songs makes 100% sense. I was asked recently who my best Nigerian act was and I mentioned BN and it was like what planet did I come from? I was quick to let them know that if you don't know Beautiful Nubia, you are sitting on a looooong thing! God bless you BN. May you continue to shine and touch lives with your music and may you succeed effortlessly!
Akintunde Oladotun Coker Thank you for following and for being a huge fan. Beautiful Nubia's songs are not about cheap popularity and I believe he's okay with the impact it has on people especially the young folks. Your intense prayers and support would do. God bless you
Heard this breathtaking song yesterday 20th April 2021 in a cab I boarded, my goodness I needed to search for the artiste. God bless all African people.
Nice, Seven goats, Seven Cowries, Seven Beads, Seven Nuts, Seven Lives that's all I've got I'm an African Boy. Over Sea, Over Land, Over Mountains and in the Wild, I'll be Brave and I'll be Strong I'm an African Boy.
I know how blessed I am to be Black and AFRAKAN! I dedicated this sing to my child when he was in my womb. I am glad to say that today, he says, I'm an Afrakan boy mama. He is only 2 and happy when he identifies as Afrakan. we are a blessed and the original people. May our ancestors help us to get back to our glory and surpass it!
I was in final year in Ife in 2003 when this album was such a great part of my life. Small Peoples’ Anthem and Seven Lifes have always been inspiring. A few years later I went back to his concert in Ife as a reporter/photographer and met my future wife in the audience. Beautiful Nubia is a big part of our lives.
My Yoruba corper friend introduced me to Beautiful Nubia in 2009 and since then I have not stopped falling in love with the music. God bless Olaikon wherever he is.
He's songs are inspirational unlike what Wizkid and Davido bringing up now....this guy brings hope through most of his contents unlike those doing it now to chase the cash!!! I hope that guy KONSTANT will bring more contents like this too I'm an igbo guy tho but love this contents
It's 21st day of February 2022.....who's on this with me....this song means a lot to me so i dedicate it to my sunshine Gabriel Iyanuoluwa Temidayo, you're truly a proud African boy and momma loves you soooo much i can't trade your love for anything in this world 🥰🥰🥰🥰 may you prosper in all your endeavours in life.
Don't wanna know what brought you here but if you're listening to this evergreen song, you're a legend then. Future generations, don't let this masterpiece die ✌🏾
Life is not a bird of roses after loosing everything and coming back even more greater than the past I'm pleased to say that true success leaves you lonely...I love this spiritual song.
he said I have seven lives because I'm an African boy🫶🫶..... just wish African children are taught this song while they are young let them know who sons they're...... indeed we sons of land, sea, mountain and valleys..... we are AFRICANS
Your songs touches my soul in many different ways i can't explain. The richness in culture and the feelings of deep connection to my roots is unexplainable. Your originality is just something out of this world. Forever your fan
Today is Thursday September 4 in the year 2023 and God has kept us this far, all glory and adoration be to him. Meanwhile this song is still as new as ever, God bless Beautiful Nubia.
Today is the 19th day of November 2020 and I'm still using this great concious song in my meditations. This songs always reminds me of my culture, root and heritage as a proud AFRIKAN. By the trend of things these days, I might be one of last generation of Africans to appreciate songs as this one(the spirits forbide!).
This is me Adebowale saying hello to the Beautiful Nubia worldview on the page of Seven Lifes- the evergreen moving, motivational, and spiritually charged African Child's song of affirmation of who he is, of who we are- today, the 15th day of JANUARY, 2024! HERE we go again! This song will never die!
What a masterpiece! Each time I listen to this, I get a different meaning...the words, the poetry, the strings, the percussion, the melody...Stuff of legend!
Beautiful Nubia, thanks for showcasing our culture and heritage. We'll get there one day and get our glory back as an Africans. Then corruption will be things of the past❤
The fact that songs like this remain underground is one of the solid pointers to why our society is what it is...turn the beat up so you can no longer hear him properly, put a couple of half naked girls in the video and watch it become a super hit even after many years. Shame!
How best can we explain the situations of Nigeria now.....children crying on the street, automobile making noise.....in fact if you're still surviving in Nigeria you have SEVEN LIFES
Well, its interesting to note that this song is actually prophetic cos he himself had not travelled anywhere beyond Lagos and Ibadan, Nigeria when he wrote the song in 1989. He was then just a student at the University of Ibadan. But how true the song rings for thousands of African people all over the world and indeed for Beautiful Nubia himself!
Always lifting my spirit even in 2022, heard it this morning again and can't get enough. Beautiful piece from beautiful Nubia. I need me some beautiful Nubia today
