What? I lost count of how many times you said it! 🤣. That's ok, they are that awesome! Yep, best ever!! 💯🔥 You're the first one I saw that noticed Geoff's hand move w/the gun. Nobody yet mentioned the clip of Layne walking played backwards, lol. Seriously, I don't know how they do it, but they get better each and every time. Epic!! WOW!!
Geoff and Layne definitely blurred the lines between bass and percussion in this one. Geof does that gasp, and .... and there's that spot where Layne DOUBLES what Geoff is singing ... oh yeah.
I cannot stop watching reactors getting broke by this song...this song broke me as well. Geoff did the arrangement on this one. So fraking absolutely amazing. I have this on my playlist
Geoff knocked it out of the park with this arrangement. He said they wanted something that would appeal to the new listeners who found them with NEM and Valhalla Calling, as well as to existing fans. Nailed it. You're not the only reactor I've seen stunned. One guy just got up and walked away. Eli's mom and Anthony's mom have been friends for years. At this point I think the VP guys consider Anthony to be part of the family. (Gar-JOO-luh) Eli looks legit scary, casually flipping the bat; Geoff's walking around with a sledgehammer over his shoulder; and Cesar's giving us his Zombie Apocalypse Monthly centerfold pose. Not sure about Anthony's skill set beyond awesome vocals but all of the VP guys can sing tenor, baritone, bass, and beatbox to varying degrees so it's not surprising they hand off or double up. Love these guys!
There's no question in my mind that these guys are aliens! How else could they produce such unearthly sounds? Apparently Geoff taught Layne to beatbox originally and Layne just picked up that ball and ran with it! I'm told by someone who understands these things that some of the effects he produced here were by using an inward breath bass technique. His vocal percussion is outstanding. Geoff's basslines were spine tingling, as were Eli's rock screams. Love Eli's lower register as well. Anthony's runs were beautiful and then there was Cesar's sass and smooth lower register as well. Never been a fan of The White Stripes or this number but this VP version knocked my socks off. They are amazing - just keep upping their game with every release.
@@Gael4ce I understand what you are saying but when I put them up against PTX, HF, Voctave which are all ones that I really do think are above par. As good as they are, they just can't compete. Love to see them in a competition today.
@@bjspeck4337 I think it would depend on what they are being judged on. If it was only vocal ability, then it’s a tighter race. If versatility, arranging or video storytelling come into it, then VP runs off with the ball.
Once again they took a song that should not have worked as a cappella and just killed it. They all sound absolutely amazing, and I love how they're starting to take more risks. I won't even try to point out everything I like about this. Layne has really gone off the chain here lately. Also, huge kudos to their mixer Ed Boyer for knowing just how to add those exclamation points to really make our jaws drop. Anthony's last name is "gar JOO lah".
These folks are awesome and I love your reactions. Listen to 7:59-8:00 and you can hear the imaginary bullet casing from Geoff's imaginary gum hit the floor. SO mush detail !
I've been trying to figure out for months if that was an added sound effect or if he or Layne were channeling their inner Michael Winslow to blow our effing minds. It's inhuman.
Awesome reaction as always Dennis. This is an abandoned department store. The graffiti and vandalism was already there. They had to cover some of it up before filming. Anthony Garguila.... Gar jewl la. Eli and Anthony's families are long time friends.
This year (so far) has been their best creativity wise. I'm so glad they don't have a label hindering that creativity. I hope Deejay Young can do some more songs. Cesar in the group is definitely a plus.
First time I heard it on Patreon... my jaw was left on the floor the entire time. I had no words. Definitely #1 for me. Everyone in this shined! I'll be honest, Eli in this made me keep my eyes on him the whole time. And the part where Geoff and Layne combined bass and percussion... I still have chills every damn time. I have it on repeat
I don't know they do it, but they seem to get better with each new video. Your reaction was spot on confusion, amazement, and awe. Love your videos, Have a good week.
Been waiting for your reaction Dennis and you didn’t disappoint Sir! Another epic arrangement from Geoff and Anthony’s partnership with VP was superb!! ❤
Every single time you think they simply CAN'T get better than the last song, here comes the new one! Your reaction was priceless and spot on! Thanks for another good one!
Dennis, Dennis, Dennis.......NEVER listen to VoicePlay, when you ARE exhausted......they need your UNDIVDED attention, YES, it gets your heart pumping,......but not if you can't handle it, because you are too tired......they willl "MESS" you up........>^^
I have listened to this endlessly since the Patreon release. When I'm not listening, I'm humming it as it plays repeatedly in my mind. Definitely shot up to my current #1 slot but with these guys constantly out doing themselves that seems to be an ever shifting slot! Be sure you watch the BTS if you have access because it is seriously not to be missed. I haven't laughed so hard in ages. 🤣
Layne definitely stole the show on this one musically for me. From that crazy inhale, breathy beat to the water droplet. I mean, come Layne, give us some recovery time. 🤣 This whole arrangement is so nuanced. I feel like I hear something new every time I listen, and that's amazing for how repetitive the original is. Great reaction, Dennis. I understand the need to pause every 3 seconds. 😁
It's your channel, please pause and comment as much as you'd like! People who complain about pausing during a reaction should please go and watch the original video first, then come for the reactions. Fun fact: this is their third post-apocalyptic video (Warriors and Dream On being the others). In the first two, the group said the zombies were just out of camera range and the guys were singing to save themselves. After Warriors, the zombies got Earl and J, None. In Dream On, they picked up Cesar and Omar on their travels. But now, the harsh life has turned the group into bad guys, so, did the zombies get Omar or... 😜
Update.... Great reaction 😉 Voiceplay released their new video on their patreon a week ago. It should be on RU-vid next Friday. J None is back in this one. Geoff Castelucci will premiering his new video on RU-vid this friday, June 9th. He is bringing back the 4 dwarf characters he was in his Misty Mountains Cold video. Both are absolutely beautiful.
I'm so glad to see that it affected you the same way it did me the first time I watched this video. I wonder if I had the same look on my face? lol. That was incredible and I want more!!!
They just keep getting better every release so how are they going to top this one? Also like the songs with grittier tones. I think that's where they really shine.
Garjoola. That how you say it. Garjoola. It's said that in any group the drummer is the crazy one. So - Layne. Yeah. Probably not wise to fathom out who's doing what in this. You need to maintain some semblamce of sanity after all.
Great reaction except for one thing. You are reacting, which I love to watch so I don’t think you need to apologize. You make it all good when you stop the video in amazement! If we want to just watch the video alone without interruptions we could do that. It’s about sharing the love and joy and - yes - amazement with others. So it’s my opinion that you don’t need to apologize for the interruptions. Just my opinion! I love that you love these guys. Thanks for your reaction!
They’re going way harder than they used to. I don’t think anyone saw things like this coming out of the goofs who sang all that Disney stuff. So that’s a bit of a shock there, but then they have to hit it like this is all they’ve ever done. It’s enough to make you think you fell into an alternate reality.
@@KingFamilyReacts Awesome. Figured you were beings your in their Patreon. I was also letting everyone else that reads this comment know as well 😉 See ya tomorrow 😁
my favorite song ever besides Panic in 4 mins geoffs lowest note I would guess it would be a b 0 if I am not correct and also btw when i watched it was screaming and melting
I'm fairly certain that they're trying to take a life, at this point. I mean... they're just _destroying_ their audience time and time again... and yet we keep coming back for more. Of course, I kind of set myself up for pain on this one XD I watched Colm McGuinness' heavy metal cover of Misty Mountains... sung in Tolkien's Dwarvish. Never knew what Dwarvish would sound like in screamo heavy metal, but now I do... and I'm kind of terrified of it.
They are truly masters of their craft. Question, have you seen PTX on the masked singer? Their performance of Creep (specifically the one where they were unmasked) is incredible. Would love to see your reaction!
