The Seven Seas was my Uncles restaurant, we enjoyed a private multi course meal there in 1970 it was terrific. Thanks for the memories.

Did your uncle own this back in 1959? My birth mother and birth father both worked there.

Just came across this video and did it bring back memories. I was 7 at the time and my Dad loved Seven Seas Chinese food. He took the family out for dinner there about once a month.

I took my wife there on Valentine's Day in 1966 when I proposed and we've been married for 57 years on June 11.

I remember running up and down the aisles there (bad kid) and also the little orange trees in the window. Nice memories.

Fantastic!!! It's great to see old footage of Edmonton like this. Especially of this quality. Where did you get this, and do you have any more?

Does anyone remember the address? Was this between 105 & 106 Street Jasper Ave?

That sounds right. I went to kindergarten in the basement in 1966-67.

I just remembered that Roy and Bill's Esso was next to it on the corner of 106 and Jasper in the '60s, where the Bank of Hong Kong is now. B.F. Goodrich was across 106 St.

It was always a big deal for the family to dine out at the Seven Seas. Oh, and the Tiki Tiki.

did you notice that the two ladies took their time to eat and didn't gobble their food down like Homer Simpson like they do these days?
