Son O Gong (손오공), commonly known as the Monkey King, is a mythical character from Chinese mythology and a major character in Wu Cheng en s adventure book Journey to the West. He also has a golden-banded staff which might be the reference for Joshua’s lines . Plus the monkey king travels(?) on a cloud, hence the line HOP ON OUR CLOUD AND GET ALL AROUND. Plus there are multiple references from Dragon Ball Z . So yeah ! a genius that woozi is !!

You know when Dino does a move like in Jisoo flower? It does look the same move but i thought since this song was inspired by Son Goku i would relate it to son goku's moves when doing the kamehameha? Because I watched Dragon Ball from a young age I became familiar with those moves

Those who don't watchh Dragon Ball won't have any idea how much are the performance and lyrics refer to the anime itself, with a positive messages along the way as usual. Only Seventeen can deliver this, and as a huge fan of Dragon Ball, I feel so satisfied. The flower move dance that Dino did, it doesn't refer to Jisoo's Flower at all, it refers to Goku powerful ultimate move, kamehameha.

duuude they're so many dragon ball references in this video; son ogong is the korean name for son goku, the "piccolo" move with the finger on the forehead (although I think it's a nod to goku's teleportation spell?), the lyrics about riding a cloud, and the end where they talk about putting their hands to the sky to gather energy; one of son goku's iconic moves. and dino's hair definitely feels like a super sayian reference, hahaha. and the hand move you mentioned is probably inspired by the kame hame ha, arguably one of the most iconic fighting moves in dbz. what can I say, woozi is a massive weeabo lmaooo
