Exactly! Thats one of the best parts of being a carat. I love seeing how authentic and happy these boys are just making the music they love but the added achievements and numbers is just a bonus to all of that! They’ve always stood for connection and making carats happy over anything else and I’m so proud we could all thank them by helping them achieve these goals!

I love it when they break their own record and dominate the music industry but I know for sure that our Sebongs didn't do this for the charts.. This comeback is special, going in I felt this sound for the title wasn't quite my preference as it's not my typical fave seventeen sound, normally I'm more a fan of their harder/sexy/edm stuff but I've ended up obsessed because the vobes pull you in, you can't help but be happy and smiling and lifted,the song and MV are just a joyful experience with such a great message and that is what they do best. Nobody else could do what Seventeen did here. They also still gave me all my fave dance/edm sounds on the other b-sides so it was the full package! Also side note, this meaning of this song and the lyrics should really be taken note of by the kpop community as a whole and the fanwars that can happen, the obsession some people have with charts and figures.....what matters is the music, what matters is how music can make us feel, how we can can connect to music no matter what language it is, what country it's from, it can connect people from around the world, those are the main things, none of that other stuff matters and that message is so important, we lose the real meaning of music and the real meaning and purpose of following these groups and artists, and Seventeen were here to remind us.
I couldn’t agree more with everything you’ve said! Even if I have my fav sounds from seventeen, they are just THAT good that I always fall in love with all of their music. I agree with you- music shouldn’t be purely about charts and numbers, it never has been that for seventeen which is why I love them. The numbers and charting success is just a bonus to their hard work and consistency. 💕
Thank you for this!! Some carats have started hounding on us for not going crazy with the streaming and it's making me anxious. Like we're doing our best, SVT have told us not to be so concerned with the charts. Other fandoms keep saying things like, if only carats would vote, SVT would win more awards, but that means nothing. SVT are superior with or without the awards. Always have been, always will be. Since 2016, SVT have been the standard.
