Quite the combo, I know 😏 if it's not your first time on the channel, this shouldn't surprise you 😂 Regarding Fear, these are just my thoughts and first impression of the MV, feel free to correct me or add the conversation as far as some of the meanings go :)
The thing is Fear's Korean title is Poison🙂 its a song about toxic love so you're correct in there but members always tells us that we can interpret the song on how we like it.
YESSSS FEAR IS THE SONG THAT MADE ME A CARAT! I love it soooo much, the vocals (my bias Seungkwan is especially shining, though it may be me being biased LOL), the lyrics, the visuals, the choreo, everything is just impeccable. And BSS literally cured my depression today LOL. And as always, amazing analysis, I'm always fascinated by things you find in lyrics and visuals!
Youngji's presence does fits bss extremely well. They came out with three songs in this album, 'Fighting' to start the day with and give you energy to go through your day, 'Lunch' to listen while having lunch and and to keep going and finally, '7 PM' to end your rough day with encouraging words that you did well enev though you had a tough time.
Woozi mentioned he wrote Fear when he was feeling like he was losing himself to the industry, he was afraid his love of music was being tainted by the need to place high on charts/selling copies. A love/hate relationship with his job as a producer but also as an idol, having to find the balance between writing what you want, what the fans want to listen and what's going to sell. I'd say since then he has found his balance and his more recent songs are both a mix of what's selling with his own twist while keeping seventeen's sound.
"fear is thought provoking" is the best word to describe it. like i have seen 3292 interpretation of fear and its amazing how so DIFFERENT; toxic fan and idol relationship, pov from an abuser/abused, depressed person, etc. And yet they all just hit. its a mark of a great mv and lyricism in my opinion
Wow, Fear + Fighting? hahahahaha But yeah - Fear is.... an incredible work of art, my favorite title track I think? I'm a newer carat, and apparently I hear it was not received well at the time it came out? But like... must have been just ahead of it's time. It's AMAZING. I know you would enjoy seeing the full choreography because you noticed the artistry of it and it is amazing to see in full at once. BooSeokSoon are... it was perfect. Such an incredible amazing subunit comeback. Seungkwan was also on with Youngji and they did a cover of Lizzo's Juice together :D So you should check those out as well. The concept for the BSS comeback is motivation songs for the day - they have this song, "Lunch" which is supposed to be a funky midday pickup, and 7PM which is a soothing reassuring song for the end of a hard day.

would you believe me when I say that fear flopped digitally on the charts because k-carats thought svt did not fit the dark concept? it's honestly the main reason they never attempted anything as dark as fear ever again

Cherry-on-top material.Especially the part she mentioned Beethoven in her verse and the song emphasizes piano-like instrumental sound. I'm so happy that Youngji will participate in music shows too
comeback after comeback they grow on me now they're one of my top 5 favorite BG today after rock with you , hot , cheers and now this song they're at they're peak . big hand to Youngji she's every where since last year . and SVT choreo are alway's insane and creative . i hope than we can see SVT in a next season of kingdom i can't imagine what kind of performance they can create .even if it's seem's than we will got another queendom season before kingdom.
i love your reactions and your own interpretations and thoughts!! i'm so glad you're also enjoying yourself ☺for me, Fear's MV is one of the MVs that really makes me think on how to interpret it, all the different images could provide different meanings and it always keeps me on my toes whenever i watch it. i'd also like to add a small thought regarding the scene with seungkwan where he holds up a piece of the broken mirror, the first time his scene was shown, the way he looks at the mirror seems jerky and quick and it only shows his eye, it's like he's trying to sneak a cautious peek into his own reflection. and his part at the bridge shows that he looks down first before slowly raising his gaze, and what struck me the most is his expression, it's like he's hesitant to fully meet his own eye in the shattered reflection? like he's not ready to see what's in front of him. for dino's scene alone on a stage with the 12 microphones, it struck me as how every word that would be spoken will be under scrutiny and how each of it will be heard, and to add to that, s.coups is there looking at him with watchful eyes, and that in a toxic love, you are always being heavily watched by that toxic love and that every word you will speak will certainly be heard by the latter. also another thing would be jeonghan's part near the end after he smeared the red lipstick(?), there are quick flashes of red lighting then back to the normal lighting. when the red lighting is present, he seems normal and flawless, but when the normal lighting returns, you can see the red smudge staining his porcelain skin, it's like seeing purity being tainted, but sometimes the tainted part is not visible unless and until you look closely under a certain view. you aren't aware that the poison has already been afflicted and began to spread. and in the context of a toxic love, the "toxic" part in love isn't always visible to the eye until you start to pay closer attention or have that love be viewed under different circumstances. i love the imagery of each scene and it's all so haunting and eerie, even the instrumentals! they complement each other so so well UGH THIS REMAINS ONE OF MY TOP 5 FAVE SONGS OF SVT!!! i'm so excited and am looking forward to more of your vids! ☺☺☺

Seventeen still are known as the Kings of Synchronization. Still down understand why many Carats refused to support this MV back then its a masterpiece but show to show that SVT message in song is correct 👌. And how didn't they get the Award for Best for choreography of the year still doesn't make sense 🤔
Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Fear choreo i like. The song is not bad but not really for me. Jeonghan looked stunning though. I have heard this one before and did not like it. But it's not bad now after a few relisten's. Like the vocals. The fits i liked as well and all visuals for sure. Hoshi bias but i am still a baby fan.
