My favorite thing about this series is that for me, it humanizes them. I knew they were human of course, but it really smacked me in the face with the fact. I went to the show in LA, and had no idea they'd gone through any of what they did. I saw the members come and go and hoped for their well-being and I knew the reason for S. Coups' break, but when I watched this series I was blown away by everything that goes on behind the scenes, how many injuries and stresses they have to deal with. Like you say, we only ever see the finished product, so often the hard work goes unnoticed; we know they work hard to do what they do but not so much the journey of what they go through to get to the end product. Idols may not get to take large breaks but I hope they pause to take a breath.
Yeah, this series was a heavy one. They were very real and open with the fans and I loved that they focused on each member to hear a bit of their story. I think touring is very tough on any group, they're constantly on the move, going from one city to the next and one country to another. And they're doing interviews, photoshoots, and fanmeets in between. It really takes a toll on their body, as you seen here. Don't worry, not every episode is going to be sad.
When someone think that being an idol is easy, no it's not, that's the reality we can't hide behind those smiles and performances we see, but, in that backstage that's the reality they need rest and freedom too.
Oh you'll be posting every day this week? Thank you~ Wonwoo is one of our sources of positivity. He always share some wisdom and motivating words to Carats. The next ep is for S.Coups and it'll be the most heartbreaking one. So just prepare yourself. If you aren't aware yet, he had to go on hiatus while on the tour and it took us about 4months to finally see him again... After S.Coups, the eps will be a bit lighter already
Watching HTR will never fail to make me cry, especially listening to us again (song they made specifically for HTR) after the whole series to the epilogue (the epilogue made me bawl my eyes out😭) Which I would recommend you do, ep 1-13, epilogue, us again (it has lyrics btw)
If you are diving into the Hit The Road series, I will caution you to prepare yourself for constant struggles similar to this episode. Their Ode To You tour was held during the times that a lot of the members were struggling. Also, this was the release after their An Ode album, when their popularity and demand became even higher than it usually is both in Korea and internationally. This will definitely show you the more serious side of Seventeen, which is only a fraction of the people they truly are. It’s still hard for me to watch some episodes as a carat. I think this also sheds light on everything that happens behind the scenes and how busy these idols actually are. Thank you for continuing to want to know more about Seventeen and your words of wisdom in the end of your videos.
Wooaahh tysm for doin the HTR reaction🥺 also, a little background on the clips they show at the end: it’s svt pre-debut clips in (what carats call), the famous green room bc pledis broadcasted svt practicing n making choreos, playin fun games, goofing around, being scolded by the staff, etc for like about 2-3yrs back in 2012-14 that’s y there are loads of pre-debut clips of svt but most arent in hd. A few left and came, but in the end, we can see the growth of svt through those live broadcasts and how they treat each other like there was no competition even though being trainees is quite competitive. If you wanna watch in ur spare time, just search 17TV and there’s a few vids that have eng subs
It's been a long time since the last time I watched HIT THE ROAD. Now, I am rewatching it because of your reactions. I like the way you add your perspectives/opinion/thoughts, it also gives me a different perspective or sometimes you say the same thing I thought of when I first watched HIT THE ROAD.
They go through all that to entertain us.... but some antis don't understand that and puts them down.. like they can't go through what our boys go through.. It's so hard to watch these episodes without a single tear drop. Forever a CARAD..
This series was tough to watch, but they overcoming those difficulties just like other people or fans (even though theirs would be much harder) was encouraging in a way. I respect their decision to show this kind of part of them to fans and now I lobbe them much more than before.
Después de ver el episodio de WonWoo tenía unas ganas de ir a abrazarlo y cantarle una nana 😭😭😭😭💔💔💔 I must admit that after watching his episode ... he conquered a piece of my heart and he has my respect!
Seventeen HTR It was a year ago and I continue to cry for this, besides that it was a great support for all carat because they made us company fair and throughout the pandemic. Wonwoo really worked hard and left us a great message. you could leave the subtitles in English my English is not very good I still read it better and thank you for reacting to Seventeen
Actually we as fans very worried the moment they dropped the teaser like how raw the documentary is that they shows everything, their weakness y'know. It's not like we hate it but just worry if it released with their concern but okay we gonna respect it and one day leader Coups and other members told us that what they showed to us was taken with their concern to let the fans know there are always up and down in their path and that they're not perfect. Im glad stanning these kids with beautiful mindset and strong mentality, they thinks of us so much Also I understand your worries with how they prioritize fans but actually after this documentary, they were become more laid back(?), and that's how they came up with Youth trilogy albums, from Henggarae which tells us to have rest and enjoy our journey, Homerun and Hitori Janai. Also they're more open to tell fans when to stop. You know sometimes some fans can cross the line and they would tell us immediately
