SEVENTEEN perform VERY NICE at Glastonbury 2024. Watch more highlights on BBC iPlayer: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode... Listen to sets and highlights on BBC Sounds: bbc.co.uk/sounds/brand/p0j3v0wz
What i like about this set is that, even when there was not that many carats in the crowd (not that many, but some were there to hype them up), Seventeen could win the crowd that knew little to nothing about them. That's the magic about Seventeen, they can make you love them so easily! I'm so happy everyone enjoyed this set. And if this is your first time watching Seventeen, welcome! We hope you keep enjoying everything they have to offer.
There are artists around the globe who arent known in certain parts of the world....now if you are a good entertainer on top of that its easy to win over a crowd who may not know you. Seventeen is certainly one of those who have that something what not all artist have. You just have to know how to get the people and they do. Festivals are actually a good indicator when "lesser known" artist to a specific place perform.
This is the group that got told many times, "there's too many of them!", in a close-minded belief that having too many members is a disadvantage. But look at them now, one of the best kpop group of their generation with their performances and high energy stages that is the definition of strength in numbers!
First off perfectly responding when this comment is 17 minutes old. Ahh ya love it when things work out like that. BUT that's always my main selling point on Seventeen when I'm introducing someone to their music and content. There are so many of them and you have all of these varying and amazing personalities. You will most definitely find something to love with Seventeen.
@@MissTamTam definitely agree! As they say, the more the merrier! I can see how their big size can be intimidating for new people, however once you slip and fall into the diamond life, you'll learn to appreciate each member and the different stuff they bring to the team (may it be in terms of vocals, dance, rap, variety, song writing/producing/lyrics writing, visuals, hyping up performances, promoting the group, supporting the group emotionally, engaging with the fans, and lots more!)
I think it depends...sometimes too many people wont work...sometimes it does work. It all depends. In Seventeens case it works perfectly. Also it probably works only in kpop and maybe jpop. Western boygroups mostly were about 5 members. And tbh in western standards thats more than enough. But I can understand people who dont have the capacity or whatever it is to look into biiiig groups in terms of how many members there are.
@@noahi.1381 so true!! When I first discovering their discography, I don't understand why this music is more popular on music streaming platforms compared to their other songs. However I changed my mind quickly after I experienced the infinite Aju Nice during their BeTS concert 😂
Glastonbury made the PERFECT perfect choice of inviting SVT as the first kpop act. Most kpop groups naturally perform well, but SVT... SVT is a rare case, they not only perform exceptionally, but also hype the crowd, they never fail to make the crowd feel included, a part of the performance. They not only perform, but also make sure you actively join the party, make you feel that you ARE actually the life of the party.
One of the reasons I love Seventeen is because they never shy away from their identity as Kpop idols. They never try to act superior or different from other idols, they're just the embodiment of kpop. Kpop is their pride, and they work hard to make their fans proud of them. Like a tweet said, to them it's always been "let's succeed TOGETHER"
Can someone pin this comment? HAHHAHAHAHAHHA just kidding. But I sooo agree. They're always humble, that's why their fans are always humble as well 🤧 It's never paving the way, it's just having fun and enjoying the process and doing it all together ❤️
Because some people doesn't like it when other kpop groups pass through the "paved way", despite the way pavers themselves being such humble superstars, the other kpop groups constructed their own roads instead lol.. And many more kpop groups will also construct (or are already constructing) their own roads! Hoping that other kpop groups can appear on festivals like this!
@@mysteriotherme nah, better avoid the oversensitive stans who'll probably get mad at the mention of "paved" or "way" for a group other than a certain group bc even mentioning specific group names will get them mad. Let's just enjoy svt as always
I really love your cmt. It’s so true. I love their attitude and they know what they are doing, I have never doubted them once for what they did, and of course they always make me proud to be a Carat
@@maryam-nusai think they really were a bit confused at first 😅 after all this was the first time for a kpop group to perform at said festival and most people in the audience are unfamiliar with it (I've also seen comments that the tickets for this festival sold out way before any line up is announced, so you kinda just have to expect the unexpected) and if I were the same, I'd also feel that way. However you can see how most of them are really respectful and waved their hands up during sos/cty/headliner/baksu. And you can deffo see that by aju nice the crowd became more interactive bc aju nice is such a crowd pleaser.
@@mobichuu 100%. That being said, I’m so envious of everyone who managed to see them live and I hope they all enjoyed it!! (It looks like majority if not all had fun, so that’s great!) from their pov I totally get being confused since it’s mostly an audience of locals who aren’t familiar with kpop/svt but I’m so happy seeing how they slowly seemed to enjoy the music and the boys more as the set moved! Hope more people will get exposed to our boys and continue to enjoy them and their music!
@@maryam-nusa I'm also a bit envious as well! Lol but it's always nice to see svt vibing with non-fans. Just goes to show what they're capable of and how they really love performing on stage. I hope in some way svt's appearance on this festival can make way for people to be more open to kpop in general bc there's lots of groups that's awesome at performing as well, regardless of the language or culture.
See how seventeen captivates the crowd? My favourite moment was seungkwan dancing with the security , making sofia the kid say aju nice and the ahjummas loving him🩷🩵
For new people: this song is famous for repeating the chorus over and over again after the song finishes. This one is quite short though, usually they keep repeating it for like half an hour😂
And even if the song repeats, there are always new shenanigans happening, so you wouldn't know what to expect. You'd just know you're hooked and would not realize how many aju nices have passed 😂
4:58 Seungkwan was so sweet getting the old lady involved in Aju Nice, getting a hug and a kiss in return. Then at 5:48 his cute 'What's your nameee' and the cutest interaction with the little girl Sofia. Sofia's cute Nice! And Boo's sassy Oh~? Totally made the day.
Saw the fancams! He even goes down and get the security guards dancing and bobbing with him lol. They were all smiling when he approached them. So glad svt getting lots of love from the locals!

i love how they made the crowd that is composed mostly of non-fans jump to aju nice 😭😭 and mind you, the crowd was having fun with them too! i love this stage sooo much and always. can't wait to experience it again.
If this was anyone's first introduction to Kpop they gonna be going home singing Aju Nice for a while lol. Our boys were amazing. The crowd was amazing. I'm so happy watching this on the other side of the world. Seungkwan was FANTASTIC. They all look so beautiful, I could cry.
I've seen people online asking why it matters that Seventeen is here or that Ateez was at Coachella. This is why: it's a test. K-pop artists are rarely put in front of a large live audience that isn't their own fanbase, or at least a K-pop fanbase like at a K-Con, which leaves room for people to question whether they have what it takes to win a crowd over. Seventeen just passed this test with flying colours!
Oh definitely. Them and ateez are some of the best performers that kpop has to offer, and while both have very different vibes, it's awesome that both groups got to showcase what makes them "the ateez" and "the seventeen" of kpop!
Who would have thought that a song without a single music show win would become a fandom staple? The organic success of Aju Nice will always be a part of the reason why SEVENTEEN is so iconic.
i love how the locals aju nicing with them. it was also because Seventeen could make the atmosphere that they enjoyed their performance even though they didn't know the songs
@@noahi.1381 🤭 I really don't mean it as a diss to anybody, or even to Coachella! 😉 But, yeah, without going into all the negatives of it, it just doesn't make sense for them to be doing stuff like that atp, when they're already selling out multiple days at Nissan Stadium!!! Maybe like 5-6 years ago, it would have been a different story, but things like Glastonbury and even Lollapalooza Berlin made a lot more sense now. 🤗
There is no need for them go in this kind of event because they easily fill up to 60K+ of seating capacity for a back to back concerts. Tickets easily sold out for less than an hour.
why am I crying? Look how far my boys have come, so proud of all 13 of them for not giving up and for all the carats that have been with them throughout the years!
I can't imagine how proud must Woozi be feeling to see thousands of people (many not even Kpop fans) jamming to aju nice. I wonder if he knew how much of an impact this song would bring when he was making this masterpiece
you see, there are many kpop groups that go out there and perform but that's it, they'll show everyone how good they are and leave everyone impressed but will look distant and give that perfect "idol image". what makes seventeen special and different is they DO care about being warm and close to everyone so they use their music to connect w ppl and make sure they are having fun & that's important cause we already know all of these groups are "perfect" and dance like gods but svt is showing the world that kpop can be, in fact, fun and enjoyable to anyone perhaps not knowing the lyrics of the songs or the dance moves and they just proved it by having this really hard, new, different english speaking crowd having fun with them despite everything. so yeah, we should be proud of these 13 boys who just made history with their music AND charisma by being GLASTONBURY'S FIRST KPOP ACT EVER 🩷💙
Seventeen is just the perfect first Kpop act to perform on the Pyramid stage. Sure, they do deliver superb performances and amazing vocals. But, the way to connect with people unfamiliar with your songs is truly on another level.
I love how non-carats from all walks of life (kids, men and women, and elders) are vibing with them and can see from their expressions, happy and enjoying themselves.... Happy to note that as always Seungkwan loves to interact with people, as expected of my bias vitamin Boo!❤
omg uri seventeen they're amazing and they did soo good i love that s.coups and jeonghan are back dancing with their team and being so happy and boo being the sweetest person that he is and the rest of them did so well they never disappoint it's just in their blood 🥹💎🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Woozi's smile each time the camera showed him. He was loving this wonderful opportunity that they completely rocked!!! ♥️🥰
They literally made the people at a foreign country jump with their music and performance...isnt that the highest form of success you can get as a singer and performer? Love them for life... even though its been 10 years since their debut, I strongly believe they have so much yet to come...their worldwide popularity is just taking off! They have a bright future ahead... For me, they just inspire me so so much, I wish them all the love and happiness in the world....#caratforlife
Saw someone say "they aren't known in the UK" yes exactly, that's how fun a Seventeen set is, they can make a crowd that doesn't know who they even are jump along. You don't have to know their names to have a good time when Seventeen is playing!
I’m not a CARAT but I really happy for Seventeen an their fandom, they made history, they deserve it cuz this guys are really talented, the way the crowd enjoyed even they don’t know Seventeen, it was magic. 🎶🤩👌
I think one of the most important things that they gained from this experience is not just the exposure to new people or the pride of making history but to be able to show the audience who they are and what makes them loved by their fans. The most important is that svt and the audience enjoyed till the end!
Absolutely. Recently there has been so many scrutiny over Kpop groups performing live in general. SVT shows their beautiful and stable vocals, strong choreography, incredible stage presence, and great energy that can moved a crowd of mostly nonfans 👏
@@CopperCassie I agree. I think there's people who still has the preconceived notion that kpop artists are only pretty, robotic and calculated dancers who lipsync all the time (although backing tracks and occasional lipsyncing are utilized due to the intense choreographies of most performances, wc imo is understandable) and can't engage with their audience (tbf there's probably a few groups who may not be as engaging however that doesn't mean they're already bad), when if fact most of the big/popular groups out there can pretty much hype up their crowd hence why so many fans like going to their concerts. Svt is one of those groups that exudes energy and passion on stage and in general they just seem like a friendly bunch of guys who like having fun on stage.
Seventeen, no matter where you're at, you really bring out the best performance. You can gather a crowd of new audience with your music and stage presence. Just being true to your music is what we loved. AND, this is the evidence that even non-fans can love Seventeen by just being Seventeen. Thank you, Glastonbury, for inviting Seventeen.
see?? no matter what the language, world can unite through music. the crowd was so incredible and awesome, and seventeen? never disappoint, they always rip the stage
They're really that group who can unite everyone through their performance. I bet most of the people who hyped them and enjoyed their performances knew little or don't know them, but they've got the crowd, that is why they are the best choice to perform in events like this.
I'm so proud of seventeen Their energy is out of this world and it is so contagious They look so happy 🥺 Thank you for inviting our boys and thank you to everyone who enjoyed their show Proud carat here 💕
Nobody will take this challenge of performing in an unfamiliar crowd which is completely unaware of k-pop, being a stadium performer. Only seventeen will do this and they hit the nail on the head. So proud of them.
You know what? I'm not a K Pop fan but seeing these talented People on stage of Glastonbury, in a European soil makes me proud as an Asian, I"m not Korean as well, I'm a Filipino from apl de ap's backyard🇵🇭 but this is also en empowering moment for us Asians
Thank you fellow pinoy! Hoping our very own talented filipino acts can also take the glastonbury stage someday! 🇵🇭 (unless there already was and I just haven't known yet)
SEVENTEEN truly the master of their own craft! its amazing how engaging they were with the festival goers and still able to deliver such an amazing performance fit for Glastonbury Festival! It would be amazing to see them again for the next festival! REMEMBER AJU NICE! REMEMBER SEVENTEEN!!!!
I am sooooooooo proud of them, Seventeen are PHENOMENAL performers and crowd players, lookit that audience of mostly non-Carats TOTALLY getting into it the whole time, YES, let’s spread the power of Seventeen and Aju Nice to a mainstream audience 🩵🩵
I LOVE THE CROWD!! THEY RESPECTED THEM, HYPED THEM, AND ENJOYED THEIR PERFORMANCE DESPITE THE LANGUAGE DIFF!! THANK YOU TO THOSE PEOPLE!! THANK YOU, YALL MADE SVT HAPPY!
Live vocal, rap, performance, stage presentation, interaction with audience everything is perfect. Seventeen is born to became idol. We are so proud of you. ❤❤❤❤
Seungkwan coming to the audience anywhere in the world for the aju nice encores xD Love that SVT is doing the never-ending encore even in international festivals!!
Seventeen are such fantastic performers. Even in front a mostly unfamiliar crowd, that barely knows what kpop is let alone who Seventeen is, they exude confidence their craft and joy at sharing their music with others. The contrast in the crowd's response between their first to this one is so clear and speak volumes to their ability to connect with and hype up any audience.
