My son listened to this cd in highschool.. one day he called me to his bedroom and said mom listen to this, playing this song.. It moved me greatly.. listening today memories flood my brain .. when he graduated he gave me the cd.. God is good!!
one of the great thrash bands of the 80's. what i loved about them was the "real" and "unpolished" sound.even after getting signed. i love the intelligent lyrics. the beginning of this song are some of my favorite lyrics of all time. "born into a wold of hate. cast out by the hands of vanity."
What a great death doom thrash this band is, never to be replicated, I was pushed to buy the tape by the seller, which was a counterfeit in Thailand by the way, when I was on hols in the year 90, and I went to buy the org cd later on as it was so fucking heavy! I didnt know they were Christian due to no lyrics on the counterfeit tapes but the sound is brutal as fuck! Praise the Lord Jesus Christ for being so fuckin heavy!
I'm new to the computer so I'm liking this band. I only have very few classic Christian tapes and c-d's. Detritus. Deliverance. Haven. Sacred Warrior. Savior Machine and a few others. This is a great band!!
Seventh angel the Torment, lament for the weary Honestly sound like no thrash metal band I have heard not slayer, metallica, megadeth etc which most bands would seem to use a template these guys have their own guitar sound their own vocal sound there own way of composing oh and the bass you can hear the bass loud and clear very unique.
@TheLuotutin Well being a christian, lieing isnt an option. being a Christian Metal band, Ian, Myself and Scott were really close back in 86-87 and I left just before the red tape demo was done. I lfet so I could go to college. Dave Williams married Lynne, and I knew Ian and Lynnes mom (Marge) and dad (John) extremely well. Wayne Juke who did backing vocals on The torment was my best mate at School. Want me to go on?
That's great but not all people fall into that category; for example I wouldn't feel comfortable as a Christian with sitting down and listening to an Akercocke CD, it would bother me (so in some respects classifying Metal on the basis of ideology seems wholly appropriate).
seriously, i dont even get why all this distinction is needed (xtian-metal), like if every band would need to justify their philosophies (oh i am a satanic/capitalis/budist/atheist/gnosticist/surrealist/cumunist/taoist/etc etc..metal band. can't i listen to seventh angel even though i am not a christian and enjoy it? people may identify with lyrics/philosophy, but arent we speaking of music in the firstv place? on another topic there are too many narratives of humanness, for just one to be right
