Glad I took the time to listen to this one; I had basically dismissed this album until now, only to find that it's surprisingly good.

The old vocalist sounded almost like Klaus Meine a bit. He wasn't bad, but I really like Tommy as the new one - he just adds to the immense complexity of SW's music, especially with that insane scaling that he does!

The old was good, indeed. Don't know why he quit. Now Tommy is on Kamelot, he could return. Tommy's having few time to Seventh Wonder since joined them.

I think the issue with this version compared to the 2011 version is the mixing more than anything. IIRC this album was mixed in like a single night, and the recording quality was much more raw. Andi is very much a talented singer. I would argue the one issue is he sounds a bit too much like a lot of other singers. Like SW, though, he has improved over time. I would suggest checking out his vocal cover of Pilot in the Sky of Dreams by Threshold to see an example of his voice range.
