Inner Earth Technologies video inspection of several oil and gas wells. IET downhole camera helps producers optimize their wells by providing valuable well information.
I always though an oil or gas well is always full of fluid, but it appears these wells are dry, at least where the camera was sent. Is that so and what is what appears to be snow falling down the well bore?
Taras Wertelecki most of the wells in this video are gas storage wells. The wells are pressurized with gas keeping the fluid pushed out into the formation instead of in the wellbore.
1987FX16 , that well still has everyone scratching heads. We still have no idea exactly why this happened. Good question, sorry I don’t have an answer.
Not really, but pockets a few cm across do exist. The oil is inside the rock itself and in cracks, for cubic kilometers worth of rock, so you can imagine the amount of oil stored in it, squeezed out by the weight of it all. The reason why its slowly dripping instead of jetting out is because the drill hole is pressurized.
