Radiant and reflective heat is something I've never considered. What a great tip! A drip type of watering system can get pricey. A simple tip I can give is to use an inexpensive or old watering hose. Poke holes with a nail and a hammer, if you need it to drive a nail into you hose. Add holes intermittently down the hose. Place the hose strategically to water your plants with a deep drink. Don't blast the flow. Just enough pressure to get water to the far end of the hose. Be careful when creating holes not to make them too big the closer the hose is to your water source. I did that once and never got the pressure right so that water made it to the end. Cap off the hose that you've made holes in with a nozzle that closes tightly. I'm new to your channels and enjoy them. Plus, I'm learning so much from you and your experience in the kitchen and garden! 🙂🙂🙂
This year, I've added packaged water crystals to my container soil in addition to mulching. What a difference it's made in my hot, dry climate! Love how green your lawn is too.
Yes, we've been getting some rain but its been short like 5 min hard and fast and that's it! But Ms GG I've got plenty of peppers on those bushes. lol Thank you for the tips! Next year I will not hesitate!!! 💓💓
Very good and useful information for all container gardeners and growers alike. Thanks for sharing with the people so they can live and not rob us lol🤣 Great video Container Crops you got this thang 38ways SIS🤝💯🥂😎
thank you for this. I am so stressed about our current heatwave (zone 10, 100+ degrees) because my serranos were about to fruit! worst timing but this helps me a lot.
Soooo love your channel. I live in Arizona and growing hydroponic and now I'm transferring to containers. I just bought my drip irrigation but have to get the rest of my stuff next week. I bought 1 gallon 2 gallon and 5 gallon portable containers. Plus I made some out of 1 gallon jugs so I can grow upside down tomatoes strawberries.
I love your channel so much. This was so helpful cuz I live in a tropical country. Subbed immediately. You are so pretty and and has such a wonderful personality. 💗

Excellent video….excellent! I have mine in those 5 gallon Lowes buckets, Blue, and Tractor Supply, White and Red. But, yep…twice a day watering and I move them around for shade. Some Ok, others not so good. But mostly doing Ok. I’m happy. This is my first year, so next year better watch out! Lol…..
So many great gems in this video, I purchased 2 dwarf lemon trees that I scorched by the time I came home from work, directions said direct sunlight but apparently not 114⁰. I put them in blue/black containers out on my patio...so 3 strikes of the points you made😩Thank God for you and your knowledge 🙏🏾 ❣️
@@angelascanvasdelight1444 I have a lemon tree that I started from seed from a grocery store lemon. It has survived outside in the winter and the heat of the summer. lol But it only gets about 4-5 hours of direct sun. It in a lime green plastic pot. I have had it for about 3 years and I just put it in its own pot this week. You got this! Thanks again!
Like those red containers, what size are they. I grow in 18 gal storage container and sit them on outdoor chairs off the ground. Like your way of presenting your ideas.
Excellent video!! Thank you for sharing with us. I'm still learning container gardening. Do you use the city water or do you have a rain catchment system? I worry about the city water because of chemicals they use to treat it with for use. How would you filter the city water? Thank you for your help.
Hi. You are so welcome! I use city water straight from my faucet. Actually I have found interesting material on how some city water is actually better than bottled water for drinking. But I don’t have a filter system. However there are filter systems that you can attach directly to your hose. If I were going to use something I would try that first. It seems to be the easiest and most economical. Thanks so much for your support
Hey there. You may not be doing anything wrong. What zone are you in? What plants are not fruiting and when did you plant them? Let me know so we can try and figure this out for you! Thanks so much for your support!
@@TheScaredyCatGardener I have tomatoes , cucumbers ,okra and watermelon and nothing has grown but the watermelon. I planted most of them on 5/31/22. I used soil that didn't require anything for 4 weeks (Fox Farm Ocean Forest) again I used self watering 5 gallon buckets. I used plants from HD/Lowes. Thanks
