God is not flooding anything purposely he made a promise that he won't destroy everything by flood again hold onto your seat because the next punishment is so much worse than a flood and I pray you and everybody else will find the salvation God brings.
Much of the flooding along the east coast, mainly the mid-Atlantic states, is due to post-glacial rebound, sometimes called continental rebound, isostatic rebound or isostatic adjustment. When the northern portion of the U.S. was covered in massive miles thick unimaginably heavy glaciers it compressed the earth's mantel. That caused land to the south of the glacier to be forced upward. Ever since the glaciers receded there has been a slow steady return to the pre-glacial ground levels. Much of the mid-Atlantic states are sinking as the ground farther north is rising. What appears to be seal level rise is mostly the ground sinking and returning to the level it once was. It is believed that it will take roughly another 10,000 years before the levels are back to what they were prior to the last ice age. That is unless there is another ice age before then and the stated below the glaciers are once again forced upwards. Adding to the sinking is land subsidence, groundwater pumping is the main cause of land subsidence all over the world. As water is pumped out for humans to use the soft rock it's often stored in crumbles under the weight of the cities above and in the case of dirt, wet dirt expands and when dry it shrinks .. and in either case the groundwater is what holds up cities and once enough is pumped out that support is lost and cities sink. When that happens in coastal areas it can appear as if the ocean is rising at a rate that is faster than normal, just like with post-glacial rebound.
